Fat Fish

This review is only for 1 item in their many that I have ordered the rest of their menu is good. Their crab STICK salad was printed in the menu as R48 a portion but charge R52, I paid R48.... It's the principal for me cause I could have been informed by the cashier that the price shown is incorrect I mean R4 is nothing for me but when is asked about I felt like I'm being a little difficult. I'm no a Karen but I know and appreciate good service and customer liaison. Manager said that the menus need to be updated.don't change the price until menu is updated then or at least inform the customer before ordering. Now the portion was tiny! Not sure if it was sabotaged because I did not pay the un-advertised price or if it is the standard portion. It is not worth the price. which compared to a fish and chips which cost less but is a decent portion size in fact I believe its very cheap,good portion and super delicious.

I have never seen this place wipe down their counters and their service is terrible. When ordering online and an hour ahead of time even going so far as to detail my collection time, I have had to wait an additional 30 mins to collect my food because none of the staff seem to understand the principle of ordering ahead. This place used to be good value for money in the past however, even the portion sizes have drastically reduced. The place is understaffed and the one person behind the counter is so overworked that they can't be bothered when something goes wrong. If you come here thinking you could grab a quick bite - think again.

Love their poke bowl but terrible and unfriendly service. We order online ahead of time for collection, but when you get there no one knows what is going on and your order is not ready. Then you have to wait another 15mins while they prepare your order. This happens every time. The staff is super unfriendly and not helpful... on occasion nobody was is even there at the front to help. Unfortunately, we now rather go to a different restaurant because the bad service outweighs the nice food....

Delicious food but damn, the portion size looked like a starter. This is the hake/calamari combo we got on order in. Very disappointed as it was really good just finished it in a minute.

Terrible service. Waited 4 minutes for someone to even come to the till to take the order. No apologies and a terrible attitude greeted me as if I was doing her a favour. She gave me a wait time of 10 minutes but then once I paid said 15 minutes or more and argued with me when I questioned her about this. I watched her go into the kitchen and complain about me to the kitchen staff. Don't feel very inclined to ever return.

I must share my disappointment with the quality of portions Fat Fish Café has downgraded to. Before when you'd purpose a chips baguette you would get salads included in the price. Now they have upped the price and removed the salads. I work at the Waterfront and have been a regular customer but I must say it is disgusting how they can't even service the locals and staff of businesses surrounding them. I will rather spend my money at more affordable Cafe's

Excellent. I have been here two days in a row, for lunch. Nice people, providing prompt and friendly service. The hake and calamari buns are to die for. Great value for money. Bringing some friends for lunch tomorrow.

The restaurant is a good spot for a quick bite to eat. Catering to the people at work It is not a fancy waterfront establishment but the prices are very fair and the food is good.

Poor service, ridiculously long waiting time.
