Wow we are so impressed...we did the appointment booking online and the entire process was flawless with exceptional service from the security guards to the final cashier counter ...took my son for his passport renewal/new ...well done KwaDukuza Home affairs
Exceptional service. We had made a booking to do biometrics for 2 passports. We were in and out in 35 minutes! Every single staff member was professional pleasant and competent. What a wonderful surprise after so many bad experiences at other branches of DHA
Doesn't follow online booking. Waste of time. Useless people. Hence corruption is thriving. The system is a BIG FAILURE.
No order in the queue. No one knows where they standing. Please hire more efficient guards to organise the system.
Their service is very poor..long queue you can even spend your whole day standing in the queue
Service is slow. Be prepared to sit in queue with ticket stub for 1 - 4 hours depending on what you need done. Even collection of ID/ passport takes about an hour. Hint: seems to quieter after lunch. Good news is turnaround on new passport was a only a week for me!
Home Affairs is often crowded so it is advisable that wake up early in the morning. Because the place is always full. I got there at 3Am came back at 10 am . The service is okay it's just the waiting period that's unreasonable. I would suggest that they provide seating for the people waiting outside. And worst of all they only serve 30 people so the rest have to go home without getting assisted. What I would suggest that there should be more than one Home affairs in an area cause these places are always busy.
The staff at Stanger Home affairs really give a good effort to try get as much done as possible even against all odds. I had some problems to get my ID card and passport for my folks done. They helped me sort it out. The current issue which is out of the staff's control, is the available space for expansion and over heated waiting space, lack of good equipment the pcs need an upgrade and even more staff would be useful. I feel quiet sympathetic towards them since they take the flak from most people who may have also waited a long time. Here is my advice to those who are going to home affairs in Stanger: 1. Get there early, latest 5 AM - If your name doesn't get the 60 slots of the book, there is very little chance of getting in on that day 2. Bring things to do, it can be a long wait. mine was 11 hours, again, not staff's fault 3. Try to not whine...seriously...its annoying, just bare with it...doesn't happen everyday. 4. Check the weather, the waiting area is already humid with low ventilation.
Pathetic service at Stanger Home Affairs. Did a online application but still had to follow a long que only to be told after waiting for 4 hours that I must come back tomorrow. Paints a picture of our horrendous government and its ability to run a country.
Very slow. Security doesn't know where the lines start and took me 15 minutes asking around at each person to find out where the lines are. CASH ONLY! No card machines are available. Can get rowdy because some people are able to skip the lines somehow.
