I received very good care! They take your blood pressure 3x a day and gives you Tamoltra 3x a day. Each one of the nurses were very friendly with me, I also made friends there who felt like family! I just loved this hospital! It's very clean and neat, everyone is friendly, when you ask for help, they arrive fast. The food is really good! Especially the fish and chips You can take a bath anytime of the day, I loved the bath because it helped me a lot with my sore back. You will really enjoy it there I would recommend Sunshine Hospital anytime! P.S. They don't have plugsto charge your phone with, so take one with you!

I would like to thank Sunshine Hospital for all they have done. I was in an accident 2 months ago and they have been amazing. I am sure I was a difficult patient, always asking when I can go home. But almost everyone was understanding and friendly. I was only on a soft diet but the food was very good as well.
I received very good care. Spent lots of time in ICU, the staff were great. My surgeon was absolutely amazing and did word class work. He saved my live and did amazing work with complete Hip replacement.

The treatment I received from the first day I got here was a wow factor. The nurses n the doctors are very friendly n polite. There’s a one specific nurse that I’d like to mention her name is Miss maNgcobo she welcomed me with such warmth hands n made me feel at home she was so friendly with everyone in the ward n made sure of it. Thank you so much once again maNgcobo you’ve made my stay so pleasant even though I was not feeling well you the best
My brother was discharged prematurely at this hospital. He was given R300 taxi fare to Limpopo. He had multiple fractures on both legs and shoulder. He was not issued with a wheelchair. He wad dumped at the gate of the hospital. The hospital removed from Limpopo as this was a RAF case.He was not issued with any referral letter to consult doctors/physiotherapists at home. He is expected to travel over 400 kilometers to Benoni for follow up.I contacted both the hospital and mr Naidoophysiotherapist for referral letters but they refused. The Limpopo Health Department is arranging with our injured persons to be transferred to Sunshine Hospital to be treated this way .Is this ethically correct and allowed
I am so disappointed in Sunshine Hospital as much as we thought it was a very upstanding hospital with good ethics. I do not believe that anymore. My brother has been hospitalise for two weeks now, and he was doing fine even after he's head and eye operation. But suddenly after placing pipes in him hes not waking up anymore nor moving any parts of he's body. And as a concerned parent my mom needed answers but no one could tell her anything. The doctor who has last operated on him was called to come in and talk to my mom but he chose not to. He is hiding and can't talk to my mom to give her answers. No one knows anything suddenly, but from a relevant source at the hospital,we know now that it's due to the operation that was last performed that has placed damaged to my brother. Bear in mind an operation that was not suppose to have been performed in the first place. The source also says that the doctor and hospital is running around scared to give us answers as they know they in the wrong. I would not advise anyone to take your loved one there as you this hospital is in no state to help them or even find common ground to speak with the family in person..Concerned Sister!
In 2016 my husband had a very serious car accident. He got treated at different hispitals accross the East Rand. He broke his lower right leg, just above the ankle in 27 different places. He had about 20+ surgeries just rebuild his leg. He got treatment at Clinton Hospital in Alberton where the doctor wanted to amputate his leg just under his knee. I refuse. After 2 years the dr stopped seeing him as RAF didn't pay anymore. He was fir 18 months without treatment where i just washed his leg and change dressings. We had to apply for a reopening at RAF. We were then told about Sunshine Hospital where we got to meat Dr Khumalo. He operated and removed the steel plates in his leg. Then we met Sis Alette and Ivor. They infection controlled specialist. They put a suction machine on his leg, and the past 3 to 4 months i saw more improvement in his leg that i saw in 2 years at Clinton. His leg is closing now and you can't even see the bone wish i can posts photos A very big thank you goes out to Vusi at reception that always greats him very politely. Dr Khumalo for doing what other couldn't do. Sister Alette for always changing dressings. Ivor for helping at a moments notice and for always making time to see us twice a week and giving the things that i need at home to keep his wound clean and dry. Thank you for the small talks that we can have when you busy cleaning my wound. Thank you that every one at Sunshine hospital treats me as a human and not just another human beeing. I will forever be great full for all yoy did for me. I wish i can give yoy more tham a 5 star rating. I would gladly recommend Sunshine hospital to anyone that is in need if professional help and a very clean hospital a Ivor, see yoy soon.
