Nice view, private splash pool, wifi. Kids loved it. Close to amenities and travelling distance to Durban, South coast, malls. Within walking distance to the beach. Owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable.
Rules don't make sense. Not very comfortable stay. They don't have a checklist for all items in each room, then they accuse visitors of missing items and the rules is one sided only favours the the stuff not worried about visitors. I would never recommend anyone to go to the place. Can't even smoke hubby bubbly on the balcony but units from downstairs can braai and their smoke comes to room and balcony upstairs mcim.
We stayed at Sunrise Beach Resort from 22/12 - 29/12 and the bedding was not changed once. The receptionist and the lady that cleaned our unit constantly complained about the owner to us. I just think if they have internal issues they must sort it out internally and not involve guests. We are not there for complaints. The gate leading to the beach was also locked the entire time we were there and we had to use the main gate and take a longer walk. My deposit refund was only done after a week after I asked about it 3 times. They blame the banks for late payments. Other than the above this is a lovely place to stay but you must have transport to drive out as there are no entertainment within walking distance. Seems like Suntide had a name change to Sunrise Beach Resort. Looks exactly the same and adress is the same.
We had a great stay at Suntide, the unit and rest of the amenities were in fantastic shape very well maintained. The lookout onto the ocean from our unit was absolutely awesome, it is so relaxing to wake up in the morning walk onto the balcony and see the ships sailing out on the ocean. Suntide is located within a few hundred meters of a prestine, and not very busy we were there during low season though, beachfront. Certainly a place that we will be visiting again in the near future!
Very friendly staff and perfect place if you have kids. Beach is easily accessible and a just 1min walk away. Great view of the beach. Shops are close by and it is very safe. Ground floor units have each a small personal swimming pool which is a great bonus. There is a game room with pool table, table tennis and darts. Also a hugh comunal pool. The only problem, those pesky monkeys...
I love this place,we had a private little garden with a pool and got to have my 3 fur babies with me,efficient service, very neat ,I will definitely go back,family and myself including my pets were all so happy and relaxed
Nice place to stay, however lack a bit of maintenance, no facetowel hook, soap dish not attached. Mildew in bathroom needs attention and appartments on 1st and 2nd floors definately needs airconditioning. The ceiling fans are so slow it doesn't make any difference. Ground floor appartments gets spoiled with splash pools and two aircons.
Lack of maintenance. Bath was pulling away from the wall. Only the ground floor rooms have a braai areas otherwise you need to use the community braai area. It is not ideal for old people to use those braais as the stairs are very steep. Despite the few downs. It is great for young people with small kids and it in walking distance to the beach.
Great holiday spot. I arrived at midnight and they still helped me with no hassles. Thr units are spotless and you are located walking distsnce from the beach. Highly recommended!
Disappointing accommodation, small, dirty and bad customer service. We had no wifi in our rooms. They claimed it will be fixed tomorrow each day, but never was. toilets are so small a child would be uncomfortable using it. Fungus build up in toilets and bathrooms. Please see photos.
