Supatrade SUPER SPAR Kosi Bay

Very busy and crowded. BUT still very well stocked, exceptionally neat and clean and well organised. Parking is a slight issue though and you might have to stop a bit far and walk

Even after the store upgrade,I went to purchase meat on January 08 2023. The beef in the counter display looked as if it had dried out, and the meat that was in the fridge where the cold meat is, looked green, but sell by date was still one more day. I expect more from Spar.

Always very Busy. Locals enjoy shopping here.

This supermarket used to be best back in the days but now shoprite is the best supermarket that provides variety of consumers and tourists necessity

This Spar offers a very basic level of stock and services in comparison with the rest of the franchise. The tellers are also quite slow. There is ample parking outside the store and overall it was a decent experience. I got what I needed and the pricing was also what I expected to pay.

The hygiene could honestly do with some upgrading. The opening next to the fridges was letting in heat from outside, thus the fridges were of no use to keep cheese and chicken cold.

Management staff and store was very pleasant especially store manager Mr Mdu

Prices are good for rural people, not so great for city people. It doesn't have variety of meats, I struggled to find proper chicken. But generally it's cool for basic things like bread etc!

All other departments are good except for Deli department. The food is horrible! They just serve us with leftovers and they don't give us a choice to choose whether I will be ok with it or not.

I made the mistake of not packing everything needed for holiday in Kosi Bay. Had to pop in to collect a few things, whilst the store was ok it was the beggars that put us off. I have travelled alot thru small towns and never felt threatened untill Kosi bay. Couldn't get a park out the front of the shop so a "car guard " pointed me in the direction of a park. Once parked he demanded money, which I advised him I dont carry money. When we exited the shop he ran to us so I gave him a loaf of bread, he very nastly said NO I want money. I gave him the bread and quickly got my child and myself in the car and left. Will NEVER stop here again.
