Must say been a fan for a while but lately couple things irk ... having to ask for prices on fruit and veg items, no smaller size yoghurt tubs, no stock of mint beacon choc toffees, and meat section looked unappetising - vacuum packed chicken not vacuum sealed. Maybe an undercover boss is called for. Till and deli ladies were friendly though
This Spar is big, very clean and always fully stocked. However, they are shockingly expensive compared to other supermarkets and I honestly do not think the prices can be justified. Their fruit and vegetable section shocked me the most today. I compared the prices with other supermakets, and most items are much more expensive at Spar. I walked out of the store today when I saw the prices of everything and I went to Woolworths to do my groceries instead and saved a lot on my basket. It's a wonderful store for delicious and freshly made on-the-go meals and treats, but too expensive for general grocery shopping.

Always a good Spar this. Only issue ever is the bread rolls, long thin hot dog rolls that cant be opened and hamburger rolls that smaller than the patti but 6 fingers high ? Good clean effecient tills and well labeled shelves
Had a certain issue with a product purchased earlier that day. Nelly, the manager was respectful, understanding and went out of her way to assist me. Her quick-thinking and professional manner meant the issue was well noted and dealt with speedily. Thank you Superspar Walmer.
Great Spar, Great deli selection and a large variety of speciality products that you can't always get such as your health foods, sugar free candies and chocs. Their check out que is also one of the fastest moving!
