10 minutes ago on Restaurant Guru TABOO night club was an interesting job. I got to meet New people mostly celebrities and business orientated people, the only problem was the Indian manager that made me to leave the job as well as I was told that I’m not I’m not good looking enough for taboo features e.g make up expensive hair .TABOO night club was a very nice place to work at as well as the environment .and being told that we must think like Indians or do things like Indians’
I personally don't like clubs. The club itself seems like a nice venue. However, treatment of customers is in the nicest way to say "pathetic". Treat everyone equally, whether VIP or not. Also is this club running a brothel? I literally saw a bouncer get paid to go and find a girl to have sex with some man. Quite disappointing to say the least.
Where is the dance floor gone to? Nobody moves they bobbing heads and checking each other out. I'm sorry but I wanna dance with the bass travelling through my body... having no dance floor means good sound is found in little pockets. I would move taboo out the club category and into a lounge even though it's so big.
Perfect for the nightlife lovers. VIP treatment and service is excellent, most local and foreign celebrities go there for appearences and performances, so you might bump into your favourite celebrity there. Make sure you dress well, track suits pants are not accepted for men.
If you have no money plss don’t trie go back to sleep
After spending close to r6000 on champagne. On my way out some ladies purposely pured some alcohol on me and my friend. After that they attacked me. I notified the bouncers and when he was confronting them one of the ladies stabbed me while the bouncer was standing right there. I lost so much blood and passed out apparently the ladies were still standing there laughing. The club never called the police nor the ambulance. They just wrapped my arm up in a bandage. Thank God for my friend she called the ambulance. I’m very appalled at the fact that they can’t protect their customers from danger. The bouncers are just for decoration. Now I have to deal with scars and medical expenses because of their untrained security. I will never set foot at Taboo again and I will make sure I spread the word
Pay 150 Rand to enter and find all tables reserved. No one tells you how to go about getting a table. The staff are very cold and don't talk to you unless you want to buy an expensive drink of their choice. In short if you won't buy a bottle of something expensive, be prepared to stand at the bar all night.
Really enjoyed myself
Must say, top 5 groove spot in Jo'burg and not number 5. If you in for a good time until the sunrises However, some of the bouncers, wow very disappointing quite rude to say the least. Perhaps some more training could do, but hey The Boo offers a great time.
Was not a good experience. Was not allowed to sit unless we purchased drinks. Dance floor was dreadful and music was terrible. Entrance fee was R250. Would not recommend this place for youngsters that want to have a good time and enjoy the night out with friends.
