Telkom Direct Cresta

Needed to upgrade my Telkom package, was asked to return the following day as they didn't have stock of a particular router. Staff are friendly especially the technical crew. Parking was a breeze. Besides all the up and downs they were able to assist me.

Only time I had to upgrade my contracts... Note not 1 but 3 upgrades... The store closes during business hours for a meeting .. I mean really close a store for a meeting... Really sucks big time... My time and petrol wasted for absolutely nothing.... Big thumbs down... I'll go to another store

Lack of urgency and professionalism is astounding! It really tires me out to go there. Staff continue to have their private conversations whilst serving clients… I don’t want to hear about your love life, just do your job!!

I think God placed Telkom in South Africa as a tool to help people practice patience and forgiveness... I was directed to Telkom Cresta by another Telkom store that said they had 4 units of the phone I was looking for. Upon arrival the attendant that assisted me just shrugged and said the phone in question is discontinued, it is not available anymore. Even though they apparently have 4 units. She said I should try Telkom Express, also in Cresta Mall but she can't confirm on her system if they have stock. Even though every other Telkom store could tell where stock is Getting there, the Express store is closed. Back to the first one. Oooh no, she forgot, they are actually closed today... After a quibble the same attendant started looking at other stores that might have the phone. Even phoned to find out if they have. After about 10min of this she got up, went to the back, after a while popped back and asked if I want the phone in black or blue. ‍ I would rather not go into details of the service experienced, for the sake of my blood pressure, just thankful I actually managed to get the phone. The whole ordeal upgrade lasted 40min. I was the only customer there... Smewhere along the line the attendant named 'kateloa', according to the contract confirmation asked me to sign an 'A'. She used that A as her signature under the 'For Official Use Only' section. Google need to create a rating lower than one star called 'T'... Beside getting the phone, the only winner out of this visit was my 3 year old son who had to endure this testing experience. I owe him a massive ice cream for keeping it together the whole time. So for two years I'm set, we'll see if my patience increased when I will face the test again in 2025. I'm still working on the forgiveness...

Do not purchase any phones here. We were sold a faulty phone on contract, came back within the seven day period, store refused to deal with the matter and after multiple visits to the store - we're still being sent from pillar to post.

Incompetent, lazy, slow and useless. Just like all government run institutions in this country. I’ve been phoning the number for the last 2 hours and it stays engaged. When I arrive and dial again, nobody is busy on a call. 3 of the staff members are sitting on their phones, not helping any customers. Complaining is always just met with a “eish I’m not sure” or “sorry seh” or “I don’t know”.

Useless, arrogant and pathetic are just some polite ways to explain the staff at Telkom. Maybe allow people who actually want to work to get the jobs, not the incompetent people that work there. Standard response from the author as with every review will be " we will do our best to improve" then actually do it!! Here is a dictionary definition of what work actually is, maybe this should be pasted around every Telkom shop!! "activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.".

Zero stars. Rude and incompetent manager, not sure how he got the position. Telkom is utterly terrible on every level. AVOID THIS ENTITY FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.

Sent my phone in for charging port they broke my entire phone and expect me to pay to fix it. Worst experience ever I'm utterly gutted
