The place was closed when I got there. Eurocar helped me but I got charged R4600 holding which after 5 days of returning the car I had not got back. They then took off this a admin fee of R115 from the deposit definitely not right. EVERYTHING SHOULD BE INCLUDED when you book online and no after costs should be charged. I also was told to wait for them to check if a old dent was my fault. Not happy :-
We received a car from Europ car on your behalf on 25th February and returned it on 27th February 2022, in exactly the condition we received it in. There was no one on duty to receive the car at 7.30 am. I paid extra insurance. Sixteen days later I'm still waiting for my deposit of more than R4600.00. I have requested it from customer affairs and they tell me theres a chip on the windscreen. This is not the first time I've had this experience with a rental car company. It is very unacceptable.
They deserve 0 stars. My worst car rental experience ever. Will never rent from this company again. There is no place to relay my entire entire experience here but if one really wants to be safer, it's better to rent from AVIS or Budget. That way you will not be accused for that which you did not damage on their car. Their behaviour and the manner in which they handled the entire incident makes me now be more doubtful with ALL car rental companies.
Negative 10 stars if it were an option here, arrived at the airport to collect my rental only to find the offices closed and told to collect the rental from europcar, get to europcar and i am told there are no cars available to rent. Quite annoyed that in this day and age a company is unable to notify their clients about office closures and making alternate arrangements, the only message i got from you was when my payment was made. It is clear wherw tempest car hire's priority stands. Wont be returning to your company for sure.
I hired a car in September. I checked my credit card statement. The cost of the insurance was more than the car hire. Im very annoyed. Dont let them rush you. Check the insurance costs properly before you leave !!
Good service but when booking I was not ask which vehicle I want to reserve but so far so good.
It was a lovely experience. I would hoose them again
