Pictures can be deceiving, tell you what, the bathrooms are filthy. There are no towels in the bathrooms. The corridors to the rooms are very stinking. Wifi is very poor. Staff friendly. Moreover if you forget something don't even think you'll get it. Even if you gone for 30mins.Rooms: 2/5
I was very disappointed with Albany hotel, we had no privacy at all maintainance people where coming in and out of our room, they did not even change us to another room because apparently the hotel was fully booked, they room was not even clean. they don't even clean the floors with poor WiFi connectionRooms: 1/5
What's advertised on their website is nothing compared to the reality. The service is poor and security is non existent. Hospitality is poor. Only love the kitchen staff friendly, caring and loving.
The smell as you exited the elevator was overwhelming damp ,dank smellI wore a mask for when entering the hall .Noise in the early hours of the morning.Cracked floor tiles, The only positive was the Xpresso coffee shop on the ground floor.Rooms: 1/5
My room was clean, everything was in good working condition. Bed was comfortable Rooms were close and I thought we were going to be disturbed by our neighbors kanti lutho, I guess they have thick wall. Great location even if you planning to use public transport, there is a Durban Moover bus stop just outside the hotel and the taxis are literally seconds apart. If you are coming by car, be ready to folk up R50 for over night parking.
I really enjoyed my stay at Albany Hotel. The rooms were clean and the services were par excellent. The location is safe and convenient.Rooms: 5/5
This is the worst hotel ever to stay .The corridors are smelling like mold the rooms smell no towels it's bad the waiting area is so dirty they don't vacuum there or in the corridors it's just unpleasant bedding was still wet on the bed .no toilet paper They allow different faces in Hotel there is orderRooms: 1/5

I’m absolutely disappointed with the standard of the Albany hotel. This is ridiculous! I’m not one to write a review after a bad experience but this experience was so horrible I had to share my thoughts. The rooms are so small, definitely not what you see in the pictures. The mirror was cracked, the AC wasn’t working. There was a kettle and two cups with no coffee/no tea. There was no hot water in bathroom. The TV had visual glitches. The last straw was the blanket! They have these old brown blankets and they cover them in a thin white sheet which is not warm enough . It’s was a mess. I highly do not recommend.
Bad experience!!! Dirty linen,smelly floor rag,no towels! It looks nothing like the advertised pictures! Couldn't sleep a wink,my whole body was itchy!!!!!!!!!Rooms: 1/5
