The Bent Arm Bar

We were refused service as we are not guests of the place. I’d like to know what is the difference in preparing food for a stay in guests and for someone that is not a stay in guest. Previously one could be served regardless of stay in guest or not. If you’re not booked in don’t bother going for dining or drinks. We were refused service entirely. If this was a hotel I’d understand but it is not. Owner's reply and my comments "You entered a closed building, ignoring the signs that said "RESIDENTS ONLY" and "PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED", and sat for over an hour in an unattended bar. You never once went to look for service, or rang the service bell. My staff and I do not have the ability to attend to guests if they do not make their presence known." We missed the signs, didn't see sings on where to enter the building, if existing, its poor signage. When we finally got to the bar, within 10 min we went and looked for service very professional to look for service. You're over an hour was less than 10 min, get your facts straight as per wording you used on previous replies to bad reviews on your place. "Yes, our dinner service and bar is reserved exclusively for the use of our guests. This is not an uncommon practice in the hospitality industry. We are more than willing to serve a full restaurant lunch and breakfast menu to walkin guests during our hours of business 8:00am till 4:30pm on the veranda or the lawns of our coffee shop. We also take limited numbers of guests for dinner, but BY PRIOR RESERVATION, again a practice not uncommon in the hospitality industry. Please, in future refrain from posting harmful and untrue reviews that can be detrimental to our business. If you felt so badly about your service or lack of it why did you not address it at the time. Kind regards Simon Kerr" As per your staff, your floor manager advised we weren't allowed to be served, we weren't even asked if we would like a drink. Not much more to address other than walk in customers aren't welcome to dine there after 4:30. If one gets informed your unwelcome by the manager you know your unwelcome. Untrue - This states we were there and had wonderful service. You might have us mixed up with other people with waiting an hour, just shows how many people has issues with the pathetic service this place has to offer.

Great ambiance but no stock for half their menu.

Great stop if you are in the area, tasty, decent portion food avaliable.

I enjoyed a cozy afternoon. The fotos and signs on the walls entertained me.
