Nobody to open the gate, waited, phoned. No hot water, had to report first. No spoons to make coffee. No cutlery. We had a braai, couldn't make salad even. Next morning No water. Rooms are clean and neat, though. Rooms: Clean and neat
Rooms and camping. Shaded grassed campsites. Restaurant on site. Huge fig trees. Well kept lawns. Adequate ablutions. Perfect stopover when crossing to/from Botswana at Groblersbrug.
Big Fig is good for a stop over after crossing the border. I have stayed din the rooms and camped this time we camped, its a bit noisy if u camp becauseits adjacent to the road. The camping grounds have lovely grass, power and water. We arrived after the restaurant had closed but Happy came to open for us and made us a great meal! The menu is quite extensive and the food is reasonably priced and fresh. The ablutions are okay but need some more attention and maybe a do-over.
Perfectly located camping and/or chalet option, just before the SA/Bots borderpost. Would've given 5 stars, but on 2 occasions we stayed over, the kitchen closed early, so we had to sort ourselves out for food. That said, rooms were clean, they have a generator running everything including aircons during loadshedding, and the linen and pillows were comfortable. The park is neat and clean and well kept - and I would certainly recommend it to friends.
Friendly staff and beautiful rooms The restaurant is more of a take out, dine and dash no waiters but delectable food and a cozy atmosphereRooms: 4/5
Shocking from 19:20 till 19:50 I tried entering the premises, rang the bell endless times, hooted till my hooter nearly burnt out, sorry but I'll have look elsewhere next time, totally unacceptable. Extremely poor to non-existent wufi, cell network also erratic in the area Ablutions diery, hasnr been cleaned for a few good days m. One toilet working and no toilet paper
Very convenient, close to the border has WiFi and hot showers and great foodRooms: 5/5
For the amount we had to pay things can most defnitely improve. Place itself is beautiful but rooms are lacking far behind. 1 ply toiletpaper that is almost shreads, no tea and coffee after 10 hours drive, nowhere it gets mentioned to bring own tea and coffee and then 1 bath towel between 2 people, unacepptable. Ben was awesome and welcoming and the food was very nice, although it was not what we ordered while still on the road.
Great people! Thanks for your hospitality .Rooms: 5/5
Always a great place to stay over camping after a long days drive. Convenient and safe! Always clean! I will recommend Big Fig Oasis anytime Service: 5/5
