Best experience ever. Ruchelle is so professional and has an excellent variety of dresses available. She really is a dress-matchmaker. She sums up a Bride and gets the perfect dress for you! So excited said yes to the dress on the 25/01/2020!!

Ruchelle is fantastic, bubbly and positive. Make sure the dress of the fabric you choose is comfortable... That was my biggest mistake. The alterations are great and fast.

They are so easy going, so friendly and helpful. The sweet lady help you put on the dress of your choice and make suggestions. She will definitely not let you go out with a dress that doesn't look good on you. It's their name you are wearing and will make sure you look good. They do alterations on dress 2-3 weeks before the wedding. Absolutely so impressed by this place. Ladies with curves, look no further.

I went dress shopping in November 2021 and fell in love with one of their dresses. My measurements were taken, I paid the dress and the dress was ordered.  I went for my first fitting 10 days before my wedding the owner insisted this was the norm. The dress ordered was about 10cm too short and I would not be able to wear the block-heel shoes I bought for my wedding as the dress would be too short. The dress was also very tight since the day my measurements was taken I had lost 15kgs so this was so disappointing . The owner also did not even recognize me, her paying client and asked my sister if she was the bride.  My final fitting was 2 days before my wedding, and when we arrived we saw that the seamstress inserted an extra panel of fabric at the bottom of my dress. It looked awkward and I was devistated. This was too short notice before the wedding to do anything about it.  I ended up wearing flats to ensure the extra panel was not visible day of. This meant the my dress was actually too long and I struggled to walk in it. I still get really upset thinking about this. This was my dream dress and the first/last time I will be marrying, and the experience was just extremely heartbreaking and unnecessary. I just want to make sure no bride feel this way.

I hired my plus size wedding dress from the bridal secret. At the beginning I would have given them a 5 star review and referred anyone to them! Unfortunately something must have happened as my dress and arrangements were not spot on. I went for my first fitting and discussed everything that I needed. My second fitting should have been with the seamstress, but she was not there and unfortunately my measurements of my sleeves were not taken correctly. I had my final fitting and collection the day before my wedding which was not very convenient as I still had to tie the final things together for our big day and time was not something I had.  At my final fitting, my sleeves were too short and had to be lengthened there and then with other pieces of lace. I paid R2500.00 in advance for alterations and the only thing they had to alter were the sleeves as I lost weight and the dress fit already and no I have not received any refund on that. I told them that the sleeves were too tight and that they are going to tear...They did, on the first dance my right sleeve tore at the seam. When I asked for my garter, they never made it so I had to make a plan a day before my wedding to get my garter. Luckily I asked about my veil as they did not add the front part of the veil and I had to wait even longer for them to sew on an extra piece of my veil. I had to show the video that my MOH took when we did the first fitting so they could see what was discussed. I loved the way my dress looked and was lucky enough to have hired it on their May month special. It was just such a stressful experience. If you should decide to hire your dress at the Bridal Secret, just double and triple check everything you requested so this does not happen to you. As I said, the experience at first was amazing, till my fittings and final collection.

Absolutely amazing. Friendly, knows what she's doing. Knows what works for a body type. I had so much fun finding my dress, she's also super supportive and honest. I'd recommend any plus size bride to her.

A very pleasant place to try on wedding dresses.  The owner is a ray of sunshine with a welcoming smile. She specialises in plus size wedding dresses although she did have smaller sizes. She sells and rents dresses.
