The Egg Depot

They don't lie when they say wholesale prices. Their prices are lower than any other place I've been at. And the eggs taste really good. They cater for everyone from a single person who's living alone to a large family who can't get enough of eggs. They sell single trays, double trays, and more, depending on your budget. Just go early because the shop's small and if there are too many people you have to queue outside l. They open at 7 am but if you go after 11 the eggs might be sold out completely. The early bird does catch the worm in this case. Also, don't expect service with a smile. They're not rude or unpleasant, they're just indifferent. If you want to stock up on eggs and you live in the city this is definitely the place where you have to shop.

The eggs are well priced but the service was poor. The Depot was out of extra large eggs when I got there but the cashier said the truck just arrived and I needed to wait 5 min. So I happily paid for the xl eggs. The shop started to fill with customers also looking for xl eggs. There was plenty of stock of all the other sizes, but after about 20 min wait the deliverymen chose to unload all the other sizes first. They only unloaded the xl eggs after the other pallet was empty. I don't know of this was because of incompetence or wilfulness. The whole shop was filled with people looking for xl eggs so it would make unloading easier if the people were helped so they could get out of the way. 5 min turned into 35 before I got my eggs. Normally this would not be too bad, but I had just come from the vet with my dogs and since the depot was on my way home, and usually out of the way for me to visit, I tried my luck at the depot. They run out of xl eggs quickly and I don't want to make the drive and not get the size I need. If I had not paid, I definitely would have left without the eggs. I'm just glad I had someone in the car with the dogs so they were looked after the whole time.

Great value for money. I recommend buying the 15 dozen deal.

Terrible service the notice on the door says they closing at 16:30 and i got there at 16:05 but they had closed already, i had to negotiate with the head office to get them to service me and they finally dis at 16:30, more about 7 clients turned back at entrance due to this
