I ordered a Nintendo Wii and everything came fine but it came with a third party remote but the picture showed an original Nintendo remote. I asked them if it was a mistake, trying to find a way to fix it and they left my messages on read. Then I asked them why they were ignoring me and they said the remote was an original Nintendo Wii remote which it wasn't. I sent them a photo of an original one and a photo of the one they sent me to show the difference and they ignored my messages. I told them that the negative reviews were right and eventually they read the messages but ignored me and didn't reply
Ive sold my PS3 to these guys On the 3rd of January 2023, the salesman offered me less but accepted the amount and payment will be done after he tested all the games. I phoned later that same day and the confirmed all is good and he asked his boss to do payment. Its now almost April and I'm still waiting, when I contact them all I get is ill contact my boss for immediate payment. But no payment ever gets done
Terrible experience, no interatiion over the phone, was pathetically lazy to respond, I sent instant payment of over R9000 so they could ship my items that day so I could receive it by the weekend, only to be told "my boss told me to do it after work" after the courier's already completed the packages for the day. Left me without any response for the entire day after making payment. Received the items and it was not in the condition stated. Read the other reviews, obviously it's a business problem and not customer problems if everyone is also having bad experiences with these people. They love to take your money and don't like to give you service.
Friendly staff. Excellent nostalgic equipment. A bit pricey for such a small shop but excellent quality.
Absolutely horrible customer service. I phoned to enquire about a gumtree ad and the person I spoke to cut the call mid conversation. One star because zero is apparently not a thing. Do not recommend
Very rude and blunt. Not willing to match market price for second hand products, which I understand, but responds with mockery of alternatives and cheap jabs to justify own methods. A kinder response would have made it much easier to get through. To give you an idea of the interaction, I made the seller aware of market prices, and asked if he was willing to negotiate, to which he said no, and good luck. I responded by saying "Thanks, you too". He then tried to stop me from pursuing an alternate route my saying "Hopefully they genuine", and other remarks, and making an excuse for any seller that is not himself. Eventually when he realized I was not interested in the sale, he blocked me. Go to bid or buy or gumtree. Prices are cheaper, and sellers often friendlier. I have all the screenshots of interactions should there be any attempt to disregard this review or peg me as the bad guy. My response to the rude response to this review from the owner: I did not lowball or disrespect, I didn't even give you a price, just showed you what others were selling it for. Clearly this owner is not meant for customer service.

No stars should really be the case. I see their ad on gumtree for a game I wanted, and their contact details which says to call or message. I call, and asked if the game was still available as Hillcrest is a far drive. The man who answered said, flat out, the game is sold out. I asked him to check, and he replied with, 'I always just say it's sold out.' He told me to WhatsApp the number. That's already red flag number 1. Why be dismissive to inquiring customers? You are a GAMING SHOP. You sell, and we buy, simple. I sent the number a message and he confirmed that the game was still available. I asked him to keep it aside as I would be there by midday, and no response thereafter. I make the drive to Hillcrest. I am the only customer in the store with 2 staff members chilling on their phones behind the counter clearly busy and understaffed because of COVID. They could not care less about attending to the ONLY customer in the store. But let's put customer treatment aside, all I want is the game I require.... I get told, sorry, it's sold out... Seriously? I drove all the way here for that? Bottom line is this. Terrible place. Don't waste your time or money. Atleast the staff at BT games know how to greet a customer. Just a terrible attitude all round. The staff are just rude, lack people skills and this place is just a huge rip off. The owner constantly responds with, 'we don't need to deal with your attitude. Take it somewhere else.' Dude, these are your customers. It's like a Gordan Ramsay episode of kitchen nightmares, where the owners and staff are terrible towards customers, and then wonder why their business is failing. Well... Take a look sir.
Absolute Rude Arrogant staff... You have just 1 telephone number and then answer the line complaining about the telephone line ringing!! You should remove your business off Google or any other social platform for that matter. You certainly dont need clients since you lack the knowledge of client care. You don't even deserve any stars like the many people that posted about your bad service before.
I always enjoy shopping at The Gaming Lobby, I have been shopping there years. They have excellent service and great communication, never had an issue with them. Their games are always in good condition and I can respect that they take care of their product. I look forward to doing business again, thank you
