Contemporary Realism by Richard Pratt
Born in '92, I entered the professional art field in 2012. Relocating back to my homeland, South Africa, in 2013 brought a substantial shift in my world views, significantly catalysing my artistic development.
Defining myself as a "Contemporary Realist", I aim to balance abstraction with fine tuned observations of reality, abstracting the principles of light, form and perspective to present a dynamic arrangement of a simplified reality in congruence with the moment.
In 2015 I left the garage behind and opened my own gallery and studio in Franschhoek,the picturesque hotspot of the Western Cape.
