Timber City in Stellenbosch is a great place to buy wood for all your projects.They are a hardware store, so they also sell paint, tools, machinery and other home essentials. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I first spoke with Leon on the phone to order some cut wood and he already gave me costings on my rough dimensions, then I emailed him to confirm the dimensions and he immediately sent a quote. Not long after I sent the POP, he notified me that my order was ready. When I went to collect the wood, Leon greeted me and immediately assisted me. Thank you for your brilliant service, Leon! Very good choice of wood and tools. Prices are reasonable and the area is secure. They keep a large range of different wood sizes and shapes. It's usually possible to get what you need. They will cut for you if necessary. It's easy to exchange if you get the wrong size. There is sanitizer at the entrance and all staff wear masks.

Fast and friendly service. I have however a huge problem with the R125 delivery fee for 2 pieces of plywood!! 7 km's away .... really disgusted in fact. Part of another delivery and NOT only for me.
