UCT Sport Centre

My Anyhoo's ... Besides the cold looking concrete walls that remind me of yesteryear ...I have forgotten how UCT reminds me of Mazey Day . Listen, Parking is always my yardstick, and...it was an absolute shlep. Urgh...the Centre was clean, especially the toilet facilities. Nothing has changed since I went for trials in 1997, however, it's well kept and looked after. So...until next time...

Two Oceans half Marathon 21km. Incredible experience being there to drop off family at start. Then wait at finish line right next to speakers. Also to be able to see all runners participating. There were a few Ladies that really struggled at the end. Was amazing, caring and kind to watch other runners willing to help And being able to watch my family making it to the end. Brilliantly well organised!! Stunning to see how beautiful UCT is after terrible fire. Clean, stunning walkways, places to park and then to see mountains in the background and beautiful plants everywhere. Truly an outstanding performance of all runners

Brilliant multipurpose sports center. Can be used for recreational and academic purposes. Great experience watching the basketball here. Sports Center could do with a bit of a modernized renovation.

Well, this has not changed at all since I attended UCT about 30 years ago . It serves the purpose and seems to have a loadshedding solution that works reasonably well. I enjoyed the volleyball tournament there. There was plenty of seating space, and although I did not sample the food, there seemed to be plenty of good-smelling food on sale at the tuckshop. Because it was a weekend during the holidays, there was also plenty of parking available.

Love this Centre altho I'm not so sure that the SAGF is holding the SA Gym Games here is a good idea.. whereas the Western Cape Sport Centre has more seating.. Anyway that's a different review.. This place is clean and organised for medium size events.. If I compare Matsport Pretoria seating to this event it's less than half the size and I thought PTA Centre was small.. Just my opinion.. SA Gym Games 2019 was AWESOME.. Both floors were open.. Loved the Vibe.. I was wrong

Was here for the ESKOM Young Scientists Expo event 2018. What an amazing experience for young people. Hope daughter continues to enter.

UCT student leaders are well organized. All of them....disciplined....smiling....active....young...vibrant.....well prepared.
