Ukuthula Lodge

Beautiful Wedding Venue and ideal setting for a big family gathering or special event. The lodge was comfortable and the views are stunning. The roads are a bit hectic but manageable.

What a pleasant surprise. Feels like we're miles away from anything. Spent the sunset watching a family of giraffes meters away from our patio. Lovely personal touches... rusks, lemon water, fire wood. Definitely will be back for a longer stay and my binoculars

Breathtaking place! Experienced such a down to earth vibe here. Easy hiking all around the game farm. Beautiful spot on the river. Super friendly hosts! Will most definitely be back

I looked this up because it was a place in the Hallmark movie Love on Safari. The scenery and animals were so beautiful in the film I wanted to see if this was the place it was filmed. As it turns out it wasn't. They filmed it at two other animal santuary places in South Africa that were near Ukuthula lodge. Still all very beautiful and they try to preserve and protect wildlife

We had an awesome time. The location of cabin 1 was so peaceful and spectacular in its own way. Looking over the water hole from the deck of the cabin with a warm filter coffee and rusk was just what was needed. Going out on the game drive was the highlight of the trip, saw plenty of antilope,warthog and giraffe. The river spot is definitely a need to visit. Braai facilities were allocated at the river as well as the cabin. Thank you!!

Really enjoyed my stay here . Huge variety of animals. It’s not a too big farm . Walked the whole thing . The rivers and dams are absolutely beautiful. The bass fishing is crazy . The only thing I think should change is upper floor beds . They are a little painful to the back .

Our family enjoy our time at Ukuthula. The chalets were clean and tidy. It sleeps two at the bottom floor and 4 in the loft. Space it limited, especially in the kitchen it's seriously small. The deck outside is where you'll spend quality time. The view towards Albert falls is great. Within the lodge you'll see decent quality wildlife, but nothing out of the ordinary. Still worth the time and money.

Just love this gem in the bushveld! Really a special experience not to be missed! Staff is exceptional!

The staff are very friendly & helpful, but lack training. The setting is great and chalet is nice and private. Unfortunately the equipment & furniture is either very worn or desperately needs tlc/replacement. Finishing touches are done poorly & maintenance is below standard. The chalet wasn't cleaned properly, dishcloth was grimy, shower has mold build-up, previous occupant's soap & sponge with pubic hair on it was left in shower and there is a big cockroach & rodent problem in chalet.

Neat quaint comfortable quality and a bit of Africa on your doorstep . Concrete jungle should love this for peace and quiet . Give your cellphones and social media a rest watch nature maybe even read a book you know the one with pages between two covers
