Staff are generally very friendly and helpful. Cinemas are clean and well kept. Great movie experience. Only reason why not a 5 star, the prices of the tickets, popcorn, colddrinks and snacks are really really high. The half price Tuesdays are great though and I exclusively now watch movies on Tuesdays to make use of this deal. Still a good night out.
It was as one would expect. Unfortunately, the sound setting, especially during adds were absolutely too loud. It was uncomfortable. Service was efficient enough. I just wish there was better support for disabled people to come see a show at 17:00. In fact it was non-existent. Yes, there are ramps and so on, but it was difficult to get there in the first place and then elevators in mall weren't working.
I will make more use of Ster Kinekor at The Grove! The 3D IMAX was a real treat for watching Avatar 2.
Had such a great time watching Avatar 2 at IMAX. Only downside was that the popcorn flavouring didn't have much flavour to it. Both the salt & vinegar and cream cheese & chives tasted like salt and nothing else.
If i could give a Zero i would, you guys must say on your website you don't take cash and your card machines don't scan to pay, the people who are supposed to assist just roam around. To be honest my experience was bad, the people who are supposed to assist are just folding their arms, why are they even there?
The IMAX was awesome. The organization of the tickets and 3d glasse was n hit and miss affair especially If it's you first time. Long lines for pre-booked popcorn and drinks so skip it if you are not into waiting in lines.
I loved the 3D IMax-movie experience. Struggled a bit with the digital booth - even snax are paid at the digital booth. My suggestion is that Ster-Kinekor can at least put up a sign to warn that one can't pay at the snax itself. I had to wait in line to be told in front that I had to pay at the digital point, just to wait in line again.
Best STER KINEKOR I’ve been to and I have been to a lot trust me the service was just like any Ster KINEKOR was nice and simple.. If ur blessed with more than enough money try watching in the prestige cinema treat yourself the chairs recline electrically and if ur an introvert it’s nice cause it’s a few people. Some people don’t like the paying system I like it cause it’s less human interaction for introverts but people are different, just make sure u carry ur card they don’t take cash
Service i received was superb but cine 3 has a poor 3d screen the judder and frame skip was very noticeable.Sound quality was excellent.Might wanna also turn up aircon people were freezing.
If you are looking for cinema that is not crowded, this is the place to go. Most of my experience here are good, but there's this one time where the power was not stable, which caused the movie interrupted. But overall experience is great
