My husband and I visited the Beef Baron this evening in hope of a relaxing evening and good food. What a disappointment. Beside having to wait some time to be served, the food took extremely long and when my order arrived, the steak and vegetables were ice cold. My husband's food did not even arrive. Will not be returning and can unfortunately not recommend this restaurant.

A bit of a dull place, not much to do so if your expectations are along the lines of wild coast sun or suncity your going to be disappointed.  Even the ablution facility is terrible. If ur just there to gamble on the limited game machines then you would be fine.Service: 2/5

Attended the Riaad Moosa Live Comedy Show on Friday, 23 September, arrived early to start the evening with supper which was a disaster.  The Beef Baron was understaffed as we waited for more than 15 minutes for a waitperson services, eventually when one arrived it was a waitress that was unfamiliar with the menu, the drinks took 40 minutes to arrive and when was ready to order was told that the kitchen has many orders and we would need to wait for our meals.  We decided to just have our drinks and leave.  Thankfully the show had snacks which was a pleasant surprise.  Following the show we decided to try the bistro and eventually left after the poor service.  The hotel should have planned better ensuring that there was sufficient staff to assist on a busy day and staff need to be better trained to attend to the guests.  Fortunately the show was very good and our night was not a total disaster.

The room was ok but when going for breakfast you wait for Kong time for replenishing of food.  The tables are not  cleaned , cleared  have to wait for a table.  There is no water in the rooms no bar fridge.  There are no teaspoons for tea provided in the room.

Although I am not big on gambling, this outing was so much fun. We watch a live comedy show by Riaad Moosa. Local is lekker for sure.

Would love to spend more time in this place...its location and environment is the best...KwaZulu-Natal lets do this again

Tasted their buffet for the first time, the food was tasty for mu buds. Will try it again  with family this time

Went to their restaurant for supper I had ordered the queen prawns when my meal did arrive the plate set in front of me was an horrific site, firstly the prawn shells were black when I attempted to clean them I was greeted with a big fat fly and maggots how disgusting can humans be I was told by the staff itself that they remove the dates of the stock in the freezers and are told to cook it absolutely pathetic and I am utterly disgusted by this and till date no one has contacted me regarding this outrage.

Has a lot to offer. Events are not to be missed.  Facilities are clean. Food is good too.
