UmZoloZolo Private Game Lodge, Nambiti Reserve

It's what dreams are made of. Gem in South Africa. The stunning location. Serene and gorgeous rooms and bathtubs including an outside shower overlooking a picturesque setting. The service from every individual was impeccable. Henry led by example. Food was wonderfully prepared. Even accomodated my wife's enumerous allergies. The game drives where phenomenal. Close up of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffe and more. The best holiday thus far. We are grateful to all at Umzolozolo, including Tracy who was so efficient with our reservation. Blessings! Only wish it was more affordable for the average South African to enjoy. Once in a lifetime! Rooms: Spacious, had a fantastic view. Soaking in the beauty of nature. Bath with big windows to view the scenery of buck, giraffe. Food & drinks: Excellent. To satisfy anyone's pallet. Went out of their way to accomodate dietary requirements. Noteworthy details: Absolute peace and sounds of birdlife. Away from the busy city.

On our arrival we had a wonderful welcoming by Manager Shane , Robert and staff. The accommodation was second to none with incredible views across the reserve. Robert was a wonderful host memorising and remembering everyone's names. Thank you Robert for making us feel special. A special thank you also to our Game Guide Lymon who was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we got fantastic sightings. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Umzololozo Safari Lodge is absolutely amazing. The staff there are fantastic and very attentive. You leave with them feeling like friends or family. Henry, Robert and Lymon our ranger stood out for me. Their attention and care is not something you don't get at many places. I work in the hotel industry in a 5 star hotel so have very high standards. Your staff are an asset to this lodge. The facilities and rooms are stunning. I highly recommend this lodge.

We had an excellent time at Umzolozolo, not only is the lodge well designed, comfy, with beautiful views overlooking the creek, the staff was really the icing on the cake. Especially Henry and the Ladies in the service and Siya, our ranger, made our stay special. Also the food was delicious- the only thing missing for us was the opportunity to burn some calories since you can’t go walking or running and the pool is quite small. Other than that - it was simply the perfect vacation.

Just finished a wonderful four days at Umzolozolo Safari Lodge. It was wonderful because: - The safari experience was exceptional. We saw in a relatively short time lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos black and white, buffalos, hippos, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and myriad other animals. But it was our guide that really made the experience so special both by getting us into positions to see the animals up close and through his enthusiasm, passion for, and ability to communicate his deep expertise about them. We all including three children aged 20, 17 and 11 loved every moment of it. - The lodge itself is exceptional as a result of its setting amazing views from pretty much every room, the deck and even the pool, the exquisitely furnished and decorated buildings and rooms, high standard of cleanliness throughout, and delicious food. - The service was exceptional throughout. Everyone was friendly, super-efficient and looking for the opportunity to go the extra mile. It really made the whole experience feel very special for all of us. In short, we loved it. Seize any chance you get to go; you won’t regret it!

Umzolozolo is a fantastic lodge and their service is awesome! The staff catered to our every need and offered an incredibly personalized guest experience. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped while the food is delicious. Definitely worth their five star rating.Rooms: 5/5

Unfortunately I was not able to stay at the Umzolozolo Lodge but was fortunate to be able to get a day game drive with them as they allow outside visitors depending on space available on the drive. However, they were very accommodating to me, answered all my questions effectively and efficiently. The staff was wonderful! The Safari drive was amazing being lead by Wonder boy who is just the best guide. I really enjoyed my experience with this lodge, it is also a very beautiful lodge of what I saw with a breathtaking view. I will definitely opt to stay for a weekend next time.

This was a fantastic experience. The lodge was incredible, from the chalet to the amenities, dining and atmosphere. The staff in particular were great ambassadors for Southern Africa and the safari experience. Henry, Robert and Siya were professional, friendly and ever so helpful. The game drives led by Siya were a once in lifetime experience. He took time to explain everything about the animals and surrounding ecosystem, and we were fortunate to see so many types of wildlife. Thank you again - we hope to be back one day.

We have been to many lodges in many countries, this lodge stands out amongst the very top. Beautiful decor, breathtaking views and exceptional game drives with rangers that enjoy their work and teach as much as they show. The food was next level, we stayed 5 nights and did not have a single evening meal that was not impressive. This 5 star lodge puts much more expensive lodges to shame with what they offer for what we paid. Thank you to Henry who always cares and asks, to Siya who taught us about nature and his Zulu culture and Robert who can never be seen not smiling.

Loved our Bush experience. Went with great friends and had the best ranger ever, Promise. His Bush knowledge is awesome and we learnt and saw loads over two days. Great service and staff and excellent food and spa massages and facial. Utterly relaxing felt longer than 2 days away... Would go back in a heart beat!
