Victoria Hoaspital Wynberg

Victoria hospital staff was really great!! The doctors, despite being under pressure were really great and helped my son. The level of service is very close to that of a private hospital. The nurses were wonderful and very caring in the mens ward. Thank you to Dr Jones and Dr Wang for all your help and commitment in trying to figure out what is wrong with my son. May God bless you for your sacrifice and May He grant you wisdom and guidance as you continue to help people in their need. Thank you for the commitment and care. May God return the favor because it is too great for me to even try to return. Thank you, thank you, Thank you… will be forever grateful to God for all you have done for us!!!

I went to Victoria Hospital in Wynberg early today and the service I received from Adam who works at the main reception near the X ray department was excellent. He was very helpful showing me where to go and helping me to register. The coloured woman that does the X rays at the X ray department at Victoria hospital gave brilliant customer service, starting work 2 hours earlier, so that I did not have to wait for X rays.

Doctors in the emergency unit are fantastic. Security staff are friendly and helpful. The nurses and ward management not so much, they're disorganized and have no empathy or sense of urgency for the elderly. I.e. no communication skills, poor attitude

I was admitted via Emergency on Sunday and the level of care was excellent. I was discharged after a few days and told to return today for the op tomorrow. After sitting in the passage for a few hours my bed became available but theater is only booked for January 2023. Someone messed up but it happens.

My husband had a operation on his knee in October. before that he went in for a check up and was billed R75. he booked the surgery and was billed R300, when we asked if there will be any additional fees, the clerk could not even give an answer. on the day of the operation, my husband paid the R300 and asked again if there were any additional fees and was informed that there wasn't. a month later, he received a bill of R900 and then this month he received a bill of R3500. No explanation. no breakdown. nothing.

When my son was very sick. We never have anywhere else to go and it was the time we just had a lockdown and my son had an infection on his head. They welcomed us and helped my son so much. I thank all the nurses at this hospital for all the great work that they have done on my son. My son now his doing very well the head is now growing hair back.

I would like to thank the the staff at Victoria hospital. My mother in law had a heart attack and the swift and professional response was truly amazing. Every person from the security, nurses and doctors was so helpful and caring. I cannot thank you enough for the impeccable service received. Hats off to you. I commend you for your passion and commitment for saving a life. My faith in public hospitals has been restored.

Had my knee replacement done at Victoria Hospital.. The best.

The worst hospital visit in my life ever. They make me wait for 8 hours and then i quite on my own. NO DOCTORS WERE IN THE EMERGENCY. My chest was tight but no doctor were there.
