The view Lodge lives up their name, definitely the best views in all of town. We saw incredible sunrises from our room. The service was excellent with the rooms being cleaned everyday. You can order breakfast if you like. The owner is friendly and very accommodating. There was load shedding when we went but they have a generator which was great. There is wifi but I think they should get a wifi extender for the upstairs rooms. Other than that, a great stay.

Lovely views of the Gariep Dam ...spotlessly clean, self catering...good for a stop over between Jhb and the Eastern Cape. Generator during loadshedding, electric blankets and heating are a plus. We arrived past 7 in the evening after a tiring long drive, I therefore requested a half an hour later check out the next morning, however I was told that is not possible at all. I was also informed no breakfast would be able to be served due to staff being on leave. The inflexibility to accommodate a guest is off- putting

Management is unwilling to share prices and there is no information available on the website. Trips are often planned around places to stay and so exact dates are not always available. But this lodge cannot share any information and so I would recommend you avoid them to save yourself the frustration.Service: 1/5

We arrived tired, hot and hungry after a very long day on the road. The air conditioner in the room was a lifesaver, and the bed was actually one of the best we have ever slept in. Roxy recommended a great local restaurant and we could soon fall into bed with full bellies for a fantastic night of rest. Breakfast was amazing as well, and extremely well priced. Great place to stay over!

Stunning views from the bedroom window and balcony. Spotlessly clean. Lana, best host. Loved her energy. Beautiful accommodation. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

What a lovely place. Great clean, spacious accommodation. Lovely views of the dam and a stunning little bistro in town. Breakfast was fresh, quick and just what you need to kick start your day!

What an amazing experience! The staff was very friendly and the view of the Gariep Dam is spectacular. The staff definitely went the extra mile for us. This is a must stay! Beautiful stay over on our road trip. Clean, smart and well equipped even for a long stay. Aircon in the rooms helped make the heat livable!
