The food was good, the helper that was in the Children area was great. The service was fairly poor. I received the coffee, coca cola & Strawberry milkshake after we received the two breakfasts. It might be because the wimpy was very busy, I mostly expect the waitress was overwhelmed and forgot.
My grandmother has come to the Hypermarket wimpy for many many years and has always sat at the exact same table. However, as she has gotten more frail, her wheelchair has stopped her from accessing certain areas. Yet, a waitress called Halla who served her today ensured that she was able to sit at her usual table despite being wheelchair bound this required some table rearrangements. While this may seem like a small act of kindness, it meant a lot to my grandmother. Thank you Halla for being so patient and kind.
Sunday 14 May went to Wimpy for breakfast with my family. We were waiting for a table when we hear the waitress saying to the cashier she is sick and tired of these bushman coloureds they keep calling her, is that not her job to service the customer. When we confronted her and asked her how can she use such terms would she like it if we used those terms on her instead of apologizing she became very argumentive and told us off. Her manager did nothing about reprimanding her , so i ask who is the owner of this establishement they need to take control of their rude staff and lack of backbone by the manager, pretty soon he or she will have no customers.
Took my mom, 82 years old, in a wheelchair, to Wimpy at Hyper by the Sea, Waited over 20 minutes for a basic early bird breakfast. Had to speak to Manager who was useless. Devoid of people or manager skills. Breakfast arrived 5 minutes later, with burnt bacon. After I took photos staff suddenly became very polite n proactive. Bacon was replaced and looked good... Edible. That's why Wimpy LA Lucia Mall is the best. Standards are consistent, family managed franchise. We have been going there for years.
Twice now ive been here and ive had to follow up on my food order for my family. Twice we've been forgotten it seems until you remind the waiter. Try another Wimpy.
Great food, very friendly staff. I have breakfast here every week when I do my shopping at the Hypermarket.
Ordered 2 burgers and chips, milkshake and coffee. Order was delivered exceptionally fast. I was happy to tuck in until i noticed tomato sauce on my husbands serving of chips, and we had not yet touched our plates. Called the manager as for me this, in my mind meant I was given chips possibly off someone else's plate! They took the meal away to "sort" it out when i noticed tomato sauce on a chip on my plate too. I do not eat tomato sauce. That confirmed my suspicion.... those servings of chips had to have come off a plate somebody had eaten from and put tomato sauce on the chips. I was and still am absolutely horrified and sick to my stomach. Is this a case of "what the eye doesn't see"? I'm shocked. Truly.

Lovely experience. Thembeka our waiter was so attentive and bubbly. Her energy alone made my day.
