We needed a few items from Pick n Pay and as we are from Cape Town I wanted to check out the shopping centre for myself. I must say that I love it. It just has a different vibe and feel from the shopping centres in Cape Town. It’s obviously much smaller than Cape Town’s but it has a very quaint charm about it. Two slight negatives were the lack of parking and I needed to use the rest rooms. When I found it, I was told that I needed to firstly pay to use the toilet which I think is an excellent idea but as it is was my first time here I didn’t have any money on me and secondly, the females toilets were upstairs and as I have a problem with my leg and foot, that was a problem as well But this mall deserves a top rating
Plenty of parking and relatively clean. Lots of stores and great overall vibes.
Think this place needs some help - quiet and clean, maybe renovating?! Well located but needs some shops open :
They've kicked out all the hippies with their cool items, clothes, music and jewelry and left the boring boutiques and stiff investors. They do still have some funky sculptures that half work like they used to. Miss the old place big time.
Uniquely fitted out, quiet despite being busy with open air courtyards. It has character and retained something of old Knysna. Despite its age it is still nicer than the new.,typical slick malls going up in Knysna that could be anywhere?
A good local source of mainstream and boutique shops from Pick n Pay and Clicks to independent antiques and second hand books plus cafes. Currently undergoing renovations but still open for business. Don't miss African Bean coffee, up on the main road by the entrance - best coffee in Knysna.
One of the oldest shopping centres in Knysna. Currently has a Pick n Pay, Pick n Pay Clothing, Pick n Pay liquor store, Clicks and Crazy store as well as other clothing stores. Love the restaurant The Daily. Clean and convenient. Beautiful waterworks with rich history. They also have a pharmacy and a few atms, one for almost every bank. There's a cute little food shop to grab a quick bite. It also has a photo shop, smokers shop and a shop that sells nuts. Diggers clothing has some of the best men's clothing in Knysna. On the corner there's even a cellphone shop as well a shop that repair shoes and cut keys. This is really a one stop for all your needs
Although Woodmill Lane has lost some of its charm over the years, it remains a grand legacy in the history of Knysna, and is worth a wander through. A variety of shops can be found here so you're sure to find something interesting. Unfortunately most of the business has moved on to the new Knysna Mall so this centre has received little care in recent years.
The Woodmill Lane Shopping Centre is central in Knysna. It used to be an old saw mill hence the name and the place is rich with Knysna history. With the three-story parking garage there is ample parking available and the center is within walking distance from some of the other important businesses and offices in town. There is great variety in terms of shops in the centre including a Clicks and Pick 'n Pay.
Woodmill Lane used to be a focus point in Knysna central. I saw it transformed from the Parks and Sons sawmill to a cosy open shopping mall. Between the brand shops little private owned shops gave it its own identity with a couple of restaurants spotted in between. Lately I only go there if I have to. Pick and Pay, one of the main shops, are filthy to a point that I don't want to touch anything. The managers turn a blind eye on the customer that struggles to manage his/her shopping since there are no trollies or baskets in site. The Mall has a tacky look with lots of the shops empty. If I have to highlight two shops to visit it would be Clicks and the Daily restaurant. If you can find what you need elsewhere in town, don't bother to go to Woodmill Lane. It is wheelchair friendly, but woman that struggles to climb stairs will have a hard time visiting the bathroom. The one positive, there are plenty of parking
