Wynberg Library

Oh my soul, I think the name should be changed community hall because I have given them ample chances and was always left disappointed. This place is always loud, and not efforts made for people that are there to study and need silence. Anytime after 12 is a nightmare, children from school come straight there. Tried going there as early as 9 and there were elderly people watching movies upstairs and I was directed to go to the kids areathe chairs are for kids. I left and went to Claremont. Please, let this changed to “community hall” instead. So we know and are able to make informed decisions.

This is THE WORST library to be in. I had loadshedding in my area and decided to go to the library and write my exam, the worst mistake! The staff is rowdy and noisy shouting laughing out loud and are the leaders in the noise in this library. When I approached the lady told her to keep it down because I am writing an exam she said "so what?" I went to the front desk and I reported the matter and was told that in this library we have our own rules, we do not walk on egg shells, you can do that at other libraries, I turned away in shock and disgust! If you are looking for a noisy place to go this is it! One cant even concentrate between the staff laughing chatting away and the kids screaming out loud!

The service is great and it's definitely one of my favourite places one thing they should just have more trending books in the library

Best CoCT library I've been to. Helpful staff, activity packs for kids even in covid times, clean and sterilised, ample parking, and most importantly, great books, dvds, music. Cannot stress how awesome this library is.

Always a great library. Well stocked, friendly staff but unfortunate current covid regulation nonsense, hygiene theatre and made in Wuhan temp devices that restrict your time limit. Just like Government on its people in this fake plandemic, Communist library experience...very sad.

I have experienced only good service at Wynberg library. One actually gets a smile and a greeting! Claremont library take note, this is the way to treat customers. I will now drive a bit further and be assured of pleasant, helpful service.

Deligent cargaurds are a bonus, although it is a thoroughfare for some unsavory individuals as the courts are situated close by...wynberg park adjacent is pretty inviting for a stroll of lunch on a parkbench...

Good willing and friendly service from gentlemen l had a list of many many books left with 6 to read...

If I could give a zero out of 5, I would. The people were very inconsiderate and rude, the least helpful library I've ever been to.

Full of noise ..i dont know what's happening in there. Last time had to deal with foreigners kids speaking Congolese next to me.
