11 Mile Marina

Excellent store! They have everything you need for a great fishing trip. Winter ice fishing and spring, summer, fall open water fishing. Boat stuff... food...lures... bait! Wow! Really impressed with all they stock. You can even buys brats and cook them on their grill on the patio over looking the water!! Awesome!

We rented a fishing boat from them for the first time and were learning how to operate it from their worker (who was pleasant) when the owner of the marina came over told us to hurry up and that he had other customers besides us. So you want us to borrow your boat (for which we are responsible for financially should we damage it) without knowing how to operate the motor? He said it at least 3 times that we were hogging the dock, however even his own worker wasn't finished explaining the basic safety features to us. Toward the end, I actually told him this was our first time renting a boat and could he give us a break already? Mind you we'd been only listening to their worker the whole time, how to put the prop into the water, how to go in forward/reverse, emergency walkie-talkie, etc. We'd had maybe 15 mins of instruction tops. The owner is a real jack a*% really. On the way out to fish, he wished us luck and told us to catch the big one. My Father in Law and I just ignored him as it was him feeling bad for being such a jerk. Also, the fishing boat was really hard to drive, couldn't take your hand off of the steering mechanism or it pulled so hard you'd go in circles immediately. So the person driving couldn't fish while trolling as you couldn't take your hand off the steering wheel. It was a bust. Won't rent from here again, rude owner and boat that sucked, plus it was still $100. No thanks.

Worst staff that I ever seen in my life, their seller is very rude and have a very bad attitude.

We have now been to 11 mile Marina several times hoping that each time our experience would be better then the first. Well it was not. The owner is very aggressive and unpleasant to me and my children. We have also heard him working with other customers and seen them get the same service. There is one nice lady that works there and I have no idea how she can handle working with the rest of the unprofessional and aggressive employees. I will never return to 11 Mile Marina. I will be going to the store up the road where they were very pleasant and friendly. I would give them a 0 stars if I could.

Had a great experience after preparing for the worst based on the reviews. The lady handling the rental was super nice, they guy who helped us with getting the kayak into the water was great. Upon coming back to the dock after our 2 hours, an old guy came running out and flatly said "is there a reason you are using those paddles? How did you get them?" I stated the guy who helped us into the water did and I pointed at him as he was nearby. He asked if I was sure. I said "why would I lie? How would we have picked these paddles ourselves when there's none out here?" He stated the guy who helped us denied giving them to us and stated he would have never given us canoe paddles when we rented a kayak because he knows better. It was a weird interaction and I'm not sure what he was trying to accomplish by aggressively questioning us. We won't be back.
