Took my son with complex needs here and Megan and her team only impressed! Everybody was professional, kind, knowledgeable, familiar with my son's rare needs, and with excellent bedside manner to boot. Megan helped my son through things he found scary and was impeccably responsive and gentle as she helped him through making molds... singing a roasting rendition of Frosty the Snowman at his request. Steve and everybody at A Step Forward is incredible! I'm a below knee amputee, and Steve has put a lot of time and care into making the best prosthetic leg possible for me. I'm an avid hiker, and he's given me a very athletic leg that lets me climb all over Mt Hood delightfully He's very quick and considerate to provide any help I need at any time, and he's extremely knowledgeable. I look forward to keep working with him.

This place is amazing! My special needs child has been seeing Megan for 5 years for his AFO. Megan is very kind with my child and knowledgable as well. She answers every questions I have. My child's AFO braces have been perfectly made each time! Highly recommend!

The first time I visited A Step Forward, I was five. I continued to go to them until I was 13 for custom back braces. There were only ever two problems with my back braces. The first when I was six, was that my brace trapped in too much heat. They instantly fixed my brace by drilling a few holes for better ventilation. The second happened when I was 12, and one side of my brace was a bit too long for comfort. When I brought it in, they took the time to talk with me about where it would fit better, and then it was altered right then and there. Five years later, I no longer require back braces, but I still popped in to say hello after a few years. It was great to know that even though the location has changed, the friendly atmosphere hasn't. It is a dog friendly place, so it was great to see the happy dogs there, as well as the happy staff upon seeing an old client. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has need for a custom brace, or prosthetic.
