I was concerned about staying here because of it's proximity to two highways, but it wasn't a problem at all. We stayed in a two queen room facing Whole Foods. The hotel is newer and therefore modern and clean. We walked to a lot of places that were within a mile. We enjoyed our stay.Rooms: 5/5
Had a tough experience here. The women that were working behind the desk seemed very clueless during my checkin and then acted like it was my first time at a hotel I’m a platinum elite member. Rooms were very nice but that’s about the only good thing. If you’re driving to this hotel, pick a different place to stay. No easy way in and traffic is brutal. Much better marriotts to stay at in the city for sure.
Good location that is nearby to Boston and Chinatown. Can't fault them for the Boston noise and construction everywhere. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, the valet staff could not operate my manual transmission car. I ended up having to park it and move it out myself. They still charged me the valet rate of $62....Rooms: 5/5
Hidden gem! This hotel is so convenient to get to and many great restaurants and amenities nearby. The Whole Foods is a 1 minute walk and restaurants less than 5. Rooms are always clean and staff very friendly. It’s become one of my go to Boston locations to stayRooms: 5/5
Poor water pressure and takes 5 minutes to get some tepid water. They are big on the environment and limit house keeping so you have to request everything. We requested clean towels and to empty the full trash can. Followed the guidelines and let the trash by the door inside the room and the dirty towels on the bed. Came back in the evening, tripped over the trash can and had NO clean towels but the dirty ones were gone. Toilet seat kept coming off the toilet. Hallway to elevator had several large housekeeping carts parked but no housekeepers to get fresh towels... HVAC unit is LOUD and rattles every time it kicks in.
Great location. Get anywhere in boston in 10 mins by car and buses a few blocks away. Breakfast only at the restaurant. Coffee all day in lobby. A little miffed that tea drinkers are ignored. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Try to avoid a room facing the highway. Extremely loud and bright. I should have known when the room came with ear plugs.
Nice clean hotel. Very attentive staff and super friendly and professional. Free coffee all day long. I would like to give Evan at the front desk recognition. Was super helpful. This is my go to place in Boston. Rooms: Clean and large for Boston area
Ooof. We were on the top floor “quiet” side of the hotel that faces the Whole Foods parking lot. The banging noise on a Sunday morning from trucks in the lot started at 4:45am. It continued on and off all morning. The only solution for this hotel is to install a second row of noise canceling windows in every room.Rooms: 5/5
After I missed the last train back to NY following a business meeting, I made a pre-paid booking at this hotel. When I arrived the lady at the front desk refused to check me ln as I only had contactless payment for the incidentals deposit of $250 the room itself was prepaid. I even said I could pay the deposit with cash and she still refused. When I said I would sit in the lobby she threatened to call security as I was not a registered guest. So at 11pm at night she sends a 60 year old man who doesn’t know the city out in the freezing cold. I walked around for 2 hours until I finally had to check in to a hostel sharing room with 3 others. I understand policies are policies, but the fact that she couldn’t make an exception when I had the picture of the card or take cash is quite astonishing. Marriott hotels will never get my business ever again!!
Besides how it looks, the service and the breakfast was absolutely disgusting. First of all, not only my party but multiple people popping into the breakfast were shocked and told different things about whether it was complimentary or not. I was so hungry that I paid $21 dollars for the “breakfast buffet”. Um, breakfast buffet? They had a variety of cheeses, prosciutto, PICKLES, jam, well basically all the fixings for a charcuterie as apart of their breakfast. The only decent options they had were these two egg frittatas and some fruit. Cold oatmeal was also offered. But that’s really it. I’ve been to lower quality hotels with FREE breakfast with actual breakfast foods. And let me not forget to mention, the cheese and meats that were offered sat out for so long, the meat and cheeses were coated in oil and discolored. It’s a shame. I put a picture of it below, but the brie is literally BROWN. Brie is not supposed to be that color; you could get someone sick serving them that. Maybe stick with some scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries and you’ll be good. And the lady running the breakfast buffet was extremely rude and so was the man at the desk when I questioned him as to why is there a charcuterie board for breakfast for $21.
