My only suggestion would be to accept credit/debit cards...would make things a lot easier

Poor customer service. Owner would get mad for putting tapes on my violin when he told me I should. Also wanted to get a 3/4 violin. I had to go to the shop 5 times and on the 6th time, I brought a note from my teacher and he gave it to me. Poor customer service.

Bought a used Madeira. Very pleased with the guitar and service.

Despite what I hear about poor customer service and turnaround time, this store has been a staple in my guitar building/repairs, and has sold me things I couldn't conventionally find at a "normal" store, and for much cheaper than I expected. Their new and used guitars are impressive for a small store in a polished town like Solon, and I've never been upset with a purchase. I've never gone there for an orchestra or band service, so maybe there is some review needed in that area, but as far as guitar service goes, Academy is top notch! I've had way more issues at Sam Ash and Guitar Center. PLUS bonus points for being 2 minutes from my house. Highly recommend for guitar projects, amps, equipment, etc

The only music store in Solon. Customer service is sometimes bad but there really is no other choice in the area.
