I rented a vehicle from the Fargo airport July 11 for a business trip in Grand Forks. Last Thursday morning July 28, the vehicle wouldn't start. I called the branch at Fargo airport and spoke with Alex. Alex told me to contact Alamo Roadside Assistance. Roadside assistance told me they would send a tow company to try to jumpstart the vehicle. The jumpstart was unsuccessful. I contacted Roadside Assistance again to tell them the vehicle still would not start and to coordinate a vehicle exchange. Since Thursday morning, I have called Roadside Assistance 8 times, Alamo Customer Service twice, and the Fargo airport branch three times. I have been told my situation would be "elevated to the regional manager's office" 6 times. I have spoken with 3 tow truck drivers. I still do not have a vehicle. I understand there is a rental vehicle shortage nationwide. Still, if my business treated a customer this way, I would be embarrassed. UPDATE: At about 2:55 pm, I finally got a replacement vehicle. The vehicle arrived damaged in several places which I don’t care about and very dirty which I do care about, especially during a public health crisis. I have attached some pictures as an example. So now, after all of this I must go and find cleaning supplies to make sure this vehicle is at least somewhat sanitary. Since Thursday morning, I made more phone calls than I can count. At no point was I contacted by an Alamo Roadside Assistance or Customer Service representative. I initiated all contact with Alamo. This has been nothing if not a failure of customer care on numerous levels, and a truly frustrating experience. By the way, this is a VERY condensed version of everything that happened. UPDATE 2: It's been over 2 months, and I still haven't been contacted by anyone in a management position. All I've gotten is an email from someone in their "care department" in early August. If anyone is traveling to Fargo, I urge you to avoid Alamo at all costs. For that matter, given my experience with Alamo at the corporate level, I would avoid them no matter where I was traveling.
Alamo has a poor system in contacting the Fargo N.D. airport terminal in cases of extending long-term contracts when needing to rent a vehicle more than 30 days. Once you reach 30 days, it's impossible to reach an Alamo representative at the Fargo airport. Even when you email them, no response. When you contact other agencies, or locations, they will assign a case number that requires the Fargo branch to contact you. Once again, NOTHING! How unprofessional is that? Representatives at the airport when picking up your car say they will call when a month is up to extend your contract instead of driving back to the airport. That's been a lie. I was told based on my case number when calling other locations that they're busy at the Fargo terminal. Really?? I have called the moment they open and before they close and all I get is a voice mail that eventually disconnects me. The only option for me to do and others in this situation is to drive back to the airport 200 plus miles one-way for me to renew my contract to extend my rental. Last time I will deal with Alamo.
The Staff was very welcoming & pleasant. Got a Great Car Nissan Altima. The check in & check out were very smooth! We will definitely use them again!
Amazing service! Shaun at the front desk was incredibly quick to respond to my mishap I locked the keys in the new rental car before I even left the airport parking lot...yeah very silly, I am aware, and was kind of embarrassed but hey stuff happens. I immediately alerted Shaun at the front desk and he jumped into action. It was such a relief to know I had his support. He actually ended up using a took kit to get into the car and I ended up taking up way more of his time than I intended but within about thirty minutes I was in the rental car and was able to hit the road. So grateful for his help and willingness to go above and beyond. Thank you Shaun!!! Apologies if I didn't spell that correctly, could be Shawn Anyway, so appreciate you!!!
Sister needed to rent a car while her vehicle was being maintenanced. With all the Jr. Wrestlers in town & Red River Valley Fair going down, was lucky to find a rental car left anywhere in the area. Alamo was quick on their phone lines to get my sister a rental @ a fair price. Plus, she got a fairly new SUV, nice for rental, smooth driving !!!They're located @ the Hector Airport.
I did contact to you about refund but nobody cares , I want money back !!!!! I booked rental car from them but I was told no car available, they even charged money and never refunded I really want my money back !!!!
I did reservation through the phone And they told me that i could use my debt card with Utility and insurance since i am on the system but when i arrived airport desk the old guy refused to process it and i will not recommend it unless they will know their policy system before wasting time customers whom already depend on them and i had appointment for next Day and its really sad and it is easy to say sorry but not knowing how it will effect the person. Bad customer service airport agency
I rented a car however it ended being too small for our travel needs. After returning to upgrade our rental I was told I had to come back later as there were other reservations that needed to be picked up first. Amazingly I've rented vehicles before to arrive and be told that no vehicles were available.
I have rented from them twice. Have never had a problem getting the car I wanted. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I will definitely be going back to them again
They are the worst ever , liar rental car company! They stolen my money, no car availability but still charged my money! Shame on you
