0 stars fie Budget! I reserved a 12-ft moving truck online 3 days ago for 24 hours. Pick up time was 6:00 p.m. tonight Novovember 22nd and I arrived at 5:51 p.m. but there was nobody there. It was all dark inside and even though a light was on towards the back of the store nobody came to the door when I knocked on it loudly. I called the 24-hour customer service line and nobody picked up so I canceled my reservation and went directly across the street to U-Haul. Not only was U-Haul cheaper, but they were also open when they said they were going to be open.
Made reservations 3 weeks ago. Called on Monday to confirm that my reservation was still good and was told yes. Flew down Tuesday morning all the way from Virginia so I could move my dad out before the storm hits. Showed up at 12:30pm and a letter was on the door that they evacuated and that I would have to drive an hour away across terrible traffic to pick up the van I needed. I understand a nasty storm was coming but you could of called all the reservations before walking out since the storm wasn't till the next day. Very unprofessional. Lucky enterprise was still open and gave me a nice large SUV and waived the out of state fee so I paid less with them then I would with you.
Excellent experience with Amanda, she made things happen when there were no vehicles available. Booked a reservation for a 12 passenger van a week in advance. A couple days before we rented a car and there wasn't one available, waited for a car to be returne and took that. Confirmed with the manager the next day that the van would be available on Saturday, he said yes, that he confirmed 3 vans would be ready from fleet. Called Friday and Amanda informed us that it is looking like the vans will not be available. She will do what she can to get us vehicles. we had bachelor/bachelorette party and needed the van, that is why we booked in advance, the website had available vehicles. and now we were facing a situation with none available. Upon calling the manager and Amanda they made things happen, got us 2 vehicles, worked very hard to get us the vehicles, and quickly. We were able to have a great night. I am giving 4 stars only because of the efforts from Amanda and her manager. Lost 1 star due to no vehicles available even after reserving online. we truly appreciate everyone's efforts to make the night work perfectly
Terrible. If you leave something in the car on a friday, you’ll have to wait until monday for lost and found…but i guarantee you when they inspect the car when you drop it off and if scratched they will want the insurance money immediately. Left my house keys by accident my fault and now my animals are locked inside for so far a day. thanks budget for not going to look in the car
We had a 1 day, one-way rental from Ft Lauderdale to St Petersburg, and were able to pick up the car earlier than planned. Amanda in St Pete was extremely pro-active in helping us return the car early before the St Pete office opened and avoid an extra charge. Thanks Amanda!
ABSOLUTELY unprofessional! I could give 0 stars if I could. Made a reservation for a car rental at this location when I got there I was told they don’t even have the car and made me drive a whole 16 minutes to another Budget location. This was absolutely ridiculous!! Need to get better management. Not to mention the place looked very dirty and not maintained well
I had a very upsetting experience here. I prepaid online through budget and when I went to go get the car I was told that no car was available and that I should come back and an hour. I didn't understand as there were right out front I listened and came back in 1 hour. When I came back I was told again there was no car available. I feel part of it could have been because of my race and my gender. When other people came in they were given a car even though they had not prepaid. The person working said her name was Kay. I believe she was accepting tips to give people cars prior to giving me one since I prepaid. I had to call their offices too cancel my reservation and had to drive to another airport to get a car. She was very dishonest. I also reported her to the company.
Worst experience ever renting. Booked a convertible over a month in advance. Upon arrival there was no convertible or any cars available. We were also told they never have convertibles at this location available and do not know why they allowed us to book one. We had to drive to multiple locations to find a rental which ended up being at the Tampa Airport well outside of St. Petersburg. The car we got was a white 2021 Camry but had numerous dents and scratches on it. I made sure to take pictures of car before leaving out of parking lot in Tampa just in case they try to say we damaged car after we returned it. Was embarrassed to say it was a rental when visiting family, but something was better than nothing I guess. When we returned the car, it had a full tank of gas and was charged a fuel charge of almost $70. Had to call Budget to get refund.
We had no issues at all with this Budget location at St Petersburg,Fl… Everything went very smoothly. Dropped off car at Fort Meyers Airport, again no issues.
worst customer service came in while she is looking for my reservation shes on her phone playing a game and messed up my reservation.. they dont clean there truck or cars ever so they are smelly and drity
