Allstar Lodging Vacation Cabin Rentals

The customer service here is atrocious. I have never been treated so badly in my life. My fiancé and I rented Cainey Hollow Cabin for our honeymoon. We had the opportunity to see the place about a month before our visit. It is not kept up and looks nothing like the pictures. The pond is completely brown & covered in moss. The pavilions shown in the pictures are full of the owners junk and basically not able to be used. The fence is falling down. The road has washed out. Please do not rent based on the pictures! When we tried to cancel, 3 weeks ahead of time, they accepted that but refused to give us any of our money back. This is the most poorly run business I have ever encountered.

Allstar Lodging presents itself as involved in the properties it rents out: “We are here to provide our guests with a memorable experience,” says their website. “Please enjoy our property as if it were your own,” says the rental agreement. However, as soon as we experienced a problem, Allstar Lodging admitted they don’t maintain or inspect or warranty any of their over 100 properties. Allstar leaves condition of the home in the hands of the property owner whose name you don’t learn until after you pay. We splurged on one of their advertised houses in New Market, VA. It was $459.00/ 2 nights rental. We arrived at 10:30 PM to this wooded property to find the house in total darkness, even though the owner had mentioned a porch and solar path lights would be on. I stumbled in the dark. Inside most of the downstairs electrical fixtures weren’t working. We couldn’t turn on the front light, the overhead kitchen or living room lights, the ceiling fan, the A.C. or the TV. We couldn’t open the windows on one of the hottest days of the year because they were covered, on the inside no less, with plastic wrap. Allstar lodging had the owner call us. He said we could leave Walnut Springs and get a refund, then told Allstar Lodging a different story. Allstar which took all of our money refused to refund us anything not even the cost of the dog fee for two nights. Run from any rental service that doesn’t let you review individual properties on their website!!!!!
