I am enjoying the Hawaiian BBQ Mix at Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in Virginia Beach! Kali Short Ribs, BBQ Beef, and BBQ Chicken makes an excellent combination tray with macaroni salad and rice. If you're looking for tender meat that's delicious with a dabble of sweetness, then this casual take out place is the spot. You can also eat in and enjoy the Hawaiian themed vibe as you eat inside!
The hawaiian bbq chicken & macaroni salad were delicious & the white rice was cooked well not mushy or hard. The pork bao buns I would recommend getting when they're fresh as I believe we ordered one quite awhile after they were made & it's texture was off. Thank you for the meal & sunset view! We enjoyed it so much.
We ordered at the restaurant to go, it took about 10 fast mins even though there was alot of people that have already ordered. We had the chicken combo, beef pad Thai, and Spam Musubi The chicken combo was with katsu chickenbread crumb crusted and BBQ chicken The katsu was a bit dry but still pretty good and I'd definitely get the BBQ chicken again, it came with rice and had to get the Macaroni salad. The beef pad Thai I would absolutely get again. It had the best beef comparable to the best beef teriyaki you've had mixed with a great pad Thai with a few pieces of pineapple to give it a hint of sweet. Didn't get a picture of those two, it looked so good I forgot to . Definitely would go back .
Absolutely phenomenal food! I enjoy their Kahlua pork! Full of flavor, tender, and juicy! I've also enjoyed their Kalbi Short Ribs a few times, and the Spam Masubi. Both delicious, and satisfying. Great portions for the price, and the staff is really pleasant about 92 percent of the time. I will frequent there because the ones who are nice make it worth the while! ALSO, if you stop in don't forget to try the Aloha Tea! YUM!
10/10 one of the best places to eat by the oceanfront. I recommend the fries and the chicken sandwich. Sounds basic but the sauce that it comes with is so good!! It’s a little pricey but understandable because it’s in a tourist area.
Will not spend a dime there again I called and order food two platters and TWO springs rolls she asked me twice and said yes two springs rolls I even said 1 2 when I get there my total was over 60 dollars before I left the parking lot I checked my food and I found 2 dozen spring rolls so I just thought it must be a mistake I didn’t want all these rolls I went in and POLITELY informed her it must be a miscommunication. Instead of apologizing she tried to belittle me like I was an uneducated child say she ask me 4 times which she didn’t I explain I just want 2 rolls she then explain to me they don’t sell separate and that they come in 4s that should’ve been explain on the phone especially when she knew I wanted two egg rolls not 2 dozen orders after she rolled her knock and her eyes like I’m not a paying customer she act like she was doing me a favor in returning my money mind you this is my first time here from out of town how am I suppose to know your local restaurant rules of not selling single rolls I let my husband handle it will not return nasty attitude take that for criticism food not that good for the nasty arrogant attitude it’s mid at best
Aloha, Has anyone been to Hawaii to know what the meaning of hawaiian food??? Cause this is not hawaiian. The guy at the front was not as welcoming like he doesn't want to work. They should at least play hawaiian music. So if it's your first time to go there don't expect a hawaiian atmosphere cause it's not. There meat is marinated in kalbi sauce, go to the emart buy your own sauce soak your meat overnight cook and enjoy.
Great! Macaroni salad is so good! The Hawaiian BBQ mix combo is the way to try a variety. Friendly staff
Update, I arrived to restaurant on Tuesday 2/13 night about 8:45 pm, Google said they closed at 9 pm. Upon arrival, once I stepped out of car, all the lights inside including open sign turned off. I walked up closer to look for hours open on window, but I could not find one. So I’m unclear on when this place closes. I tried the short ribs, it was kind of pricey for $20 after taxes, but it sure was delicious. There was also a large portion of the ribs. It came with a white flat vegetable that tasted similar to edamame which I enjoyed, but not sure what veggie it was, the rice was ok, the mashed potato’s taste like the fake instant potato’s that fast food sells. Next time I’ll have to try their other side choices. Can’t wait to try more. Came with extra sauce, more then I could need but that’s a good thing. Easy take out, not much room inside to eat.
Ok, their BBQ anything is amazing. I ordered the panang Curry and it was yummy. I would had preferred more veggies. My husband ordered a trio of BBQ and I sampled some and wow, so delicious. Definitely coming back
