Amazing Taste

Amazing atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff. I am a returning customer and have been to the other location and let me tell you it is no different from this review. Food is outstanding. Filled with flavor. I got the fried whiting and my girlfriend got the oxtail. I was in awe and had to debate if i Should crack and get another plate lol. Overall great experience and a must go . Highly recommended and you will not be disappointed.

This review is so so long overdue but in this moment I find myself trying to make space in my schedule to make a trip to my favorite place so I figured they deserve some recognition. My boyfriend and I have been coming to amazing taste since they opened up their storefront in North Plainfield and now we visit both stores frequently. One day we searched for the nearest soul food restaurant, Amazing taste came up and we went for the drive. We arrived and were greeted instantly and our orders were taken right away. WE WERE NOT PREPARED FOR WHAT WE WERE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE!! We fell in love with Amazing Taste!! The food is incredible. You can just tell each and every thing is prepared with love. This family run store truly lives up to their name. We go there so often we’ve become familiar with the staff in both stores and they are always respectful, prompt, efficient and friendly. Especially the owner and his wife, and their son who is now running the north Plainfield store. So that’s, great food, clean restaurants, friendly service AND two locations. What more can you truly ask for in a restaurant? I’ve even ordered catering for my most recent birthday party just to let my friends know about our favorite place and everyone loved it. Thank you to the Amazing Taste family for incredible food and customer service every time. One last thing..........you may be thinking to yourself... I’ve already ordered so much food... Do I really need that side of potato salad AND the banana pudding for dessert?? The answer is yes. Always yes. You will not be sorry. -Ana & Ron

Their name says it all. Don't be afraid to get the oxtails. Their jerk is HOT! Turkey meatloaf is phenomenal (and I don't even like meatloaf)! Stop reading this and go there ASAP!

My husband and I decided to have soul food for dinner yesterday and he found Amazing Taste on Google. I like to read reviews but I rarely post them but I have to say Amazing Taste is by far one of the best places I’ve visited. I ordered a platter of whiting fish with a side of mac and cheese and candied yams. I was very impressed with how delicious everything was. I had no complaints at all. My husband had a platter of bbq chicken, seasoned french fries and mac and cheese. He thought everything was delicious too. They served us a great portion of each side. I was excited I had enough left over for lunch today. You cannot beat $12.50 for a delicious soul food meal and to be honest I would have paid $15 if I had to. It is about 30 minute ride from where we live (not too far) but no matter the distance it is 100% worth it. A very polite young man took our order and he turned out to be the son of the owner of the restaurant. I appreciated his humbling and grateful demeanor. I will definitely be visiting again. As for the negative reviews, I am glad I did not let them discourage me.

Food is good. Service SUCKS. Super overpriced. Called to order and got hung up on 4 times.
