AMC CLASSIC Myrtle Beach 12

i previously gave 5 stars. Had to change it to one. They don't have a chip reader for cards no big deal right? They can't manually enter the card number for reasons of national security... What in the world??? I will continue to go to this theater because it is local... This is my only option. Regarding the other reviews. The place is clean and the popcorn is as expected. Just realize that you need to get chip readers. And National Security won't be compromised by you entering my debit card # to buy a movie ticket a soda and popcorn.

This place only got one star because I had to pick one in order to do the review. I went to this movie theater a couple weeks ago and it smelled like urine. My husband and I went tonight and there were humongous, flying, roaches in there. Everyone in the theater stood up and literally tried to finish watching the movie on the bottom floor standing up. Some people left. The manager went in and got my phone from the cup holder because we refused to go back in. He killed 3 of those huge creatures while in there. People were shaking their clothes and purses out to assure that they wouldn't take any home with them. This place is disgusting and I don't recommend going. They need a new cleaning crew.

Good matinee prices, but the auditoriums & restrooms smell very musty. We were in auditorium 4 for Deadpool 2, and immediately when walking in to find a seat we were overcome with that "dingy-basement/musty" stank. It wasn't noticeable in the main hallways but once you're in an enclosed room like the auditoriums or the bathrooms, you smell it. The women's room had the same toilet aggressively flushing the entire 2 hours we were there, causing the rest of the toilets not to completely flush down toilet paper. Can't comment on the snacks or beverages, as we did not get any. Finding it was a bit tricky as you drive around the mall, we are not from here, and if you blink, you'll miss the "AMC" letters set back around the corner, not well marked at all. The seats were ok, I had a hard time being comfortable, they were very vertical, and don't lean back at all, but the arm rests do flip up. Decent leg room. At least 30 minutes of commercials (not previews of trailers for movies, but legit commercial ads) & previews, and it felt excessive. We rarely splurge and go to the movies anymore, and it feels like a dying concept with technology, and we aren't sure we'll be back again to be honest.

Coming at a 7:30pm showing and they have the doors lock. Money is money so why can't I see the movies. me and 5 other people. the whole theater was locked. It's time to change theaters

First of all I want to start off with I will never come to this movie theater again. It smelled like a barn when I walked into one of the theaters and it bothered me so much. Second of all yes the movie tickets are cheap for a new movies and yes the seats are comfortable but the food is so overpriced.
