Anderson Japanese Gardens

Such a beatutiful place to visit. Tickets are reasonable. We went little too early before summer (April) and trees were still missing leaves. Would be a great place to have a wedding done. Walking or just sitting in the garden will fill your mind with lot of peace. Would be nice if they have some more proper seating in the garden.

This was a nice outing. The ponds were teaming with Koi and the waterfalls and bridges offered breath taking views of nature. Around every turn of the winding paths you are met with a place for sitting and absorb the energy from the place, or be surprised by a water feature, or a view that surpasses the last one. Overall this was a great experience that only takes an hour or two, but leaves you recharged.

This is an authentic Japanese garden, and well managed. The garden staff do a good job keeping it nice and clean. The gold fish keep themselves busy all around the pond. This garden is suitable for the handicapped, and I'm sure those who were around during my visit enjoyed theirs too. Try visit their restaurant and they have a handful of good dish on their menu.

One of the top rated Japanese gardens in the country. A must see for Rockford. Can easily spend all day here, many paths to explore and areas to sit and enjoy. The staff told us that October is a beautiful time is the year to visit, but there is always something to see.

This is worth it to go here in Rockford, IL. Much better than Chicago Botanical Gardens in Northbrook/Highland Park, IL of a Japanese Inspired or Replica Garden of how a Garden in Japan should look like or the Osaka Garden in Hyde Park Chicago, IL. I do love their Koi Pond and the Traditional Japanese Tea House. I felt the staff was amiable to assist and much more serene and authentic than most Japanese Gardens. Again worth stopping here if you got nothing else to do and want a relaxing moment. I also found their man made waterfall that looks so natural breath taking. A lot of wedding events and receptions held here too.
