Great farmer's market. Check out breadman (his cinnamon raisin swirl bread makes the best french toast; his loaves are so moist and last for days) and stampers cheese (they even have sheep milk cheese for those who can't have cow milk, it's just delicious and so well done)..a little early for fruits and veggies right now but they have a nice list of vendors

The reason for the three stars rather than four, which it decidedly deserves, is the numerous dogs in the market. They're on leashes, but so what? The street is very narrow, and maneuvering among the different shoppers is difficult enough without having to watch out for the dogs. When I asked someone that works there why dogs are allowed in such a small, cramped space--where ready-to-eat food is sold on the premises--all he could do was say that it was a public space and that they had every right to be there. Drivel and nonsense. It may be a public space, but on Farmers' Market days the public is limited to what it can do there. (Would barreling down the street in a motorcycle be accepted on this day? Or even on a bike or skateboard? I hardly think so.) Hey, whoever's in charge of the market--why don't you do what they've started doing in other Farmers' Markets in the U.S., which is assigning certain hours to dog owners and other hours to those that don't want the mutts bothering them as they're trying to enjoy all that the market has to offer without bumping into dogs (or having them bump into you). For instance, 3-5:30 p.m. no dogs; 5:30-8 p.m. dogs are allowed. The expression "Dog days of summer" has taken on a new, literal meaning.

A real farmer's market, like this one is, with actual FARMERS. Lots of organic, 2 meat booths, and whatever is in season is there.
Other newer "farmer's markets" are opening up with NO FARMERS! They just have local businesses, freelance artists, pushing their wares. Oh Andersonville market is as expensive as the rest, but you have EVERYTHING you need to make dinner. You don't have to stop at a grocery store to get food not sold there.
Gotta shout out to C&D Family Farm. The meat from them has eliminated hubby's tummy troubles.

Best selection of vendors and food per square foot of all markets that I have visited. I especially love the organic corn.

A great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses and other dairy, breads and other baked goods, meats, and random goods and services (even knife sharpening!). Compact and not as big as some other city markets, but has everything you'd want.
