Apogee

I went to Apogee (Dana Hotel rooftop bar) for happy hour. No happy hour specials, but I went on a Friday evening thinking I was cool for picking this place. Afterall, see or be seen, right? Not much of a crowd during this time, there were about 10 of us in there, I think randomly vs it being one of the places people think to go. But that certainly needs to change! I remember when this place was called the Vertigo Lounge. Now, its completely redesigned. The set up has a beautiful bar area complete with lots of areas to sit, sip and relax. Beautiful views and the rooftop space is open during the cold months too! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for cocktails! A very impressive house specialty cocktail menu. I had the Mr. Nice Guy. Although, tart and big enough for 2 people, I really enjoyed it. The presentation is worth a million bucks! :p

Very nice and chill atmosphere. Drinks were amazing and well made. Great view as well.

This is definitely a great place to go for great city views and excellent handmade cocktails with a flair. I loved this place and our waitress so was nice. I would highly recommend putting this place on your must visit list for Chicago.

I recommend trying the cocktails to share! Great views of the city. Nice outdoor space as well.

Perfect atmosphere for a cocktail of your choice followed by a great conversation near the heart of downtown Chicago. Calm and collective atmosphere where the music is not over powering where you have to scream to your neighbor.
