Forest View Lounge

My Dad was a liquor salesman back in the 50's and 60's who often took me on his route. This place was one of his stops and we went there often because he was friends with the owner. Anyway, I stopped in at lunch to reminisce. Last time there was over 50 years ago. When I came in I was greeted by a few little dogs. They were cute. No one else was there except for the woman tending bar. She asked what I would like and I had a beer, ordered a patty melt and told her about my lat visit. To make a short story shorter, not really friendly. Shame. If I had a better experience I would have boasted about this place since I work a few miles away. Strange world.

Love visiting FVL. I've been coming here for over a year. It's the cozy LGBTQ neighborhood bar where you don't have to worry about pushy people trying to pick you up. Good average drink prices for the area. Several Tv's to watch your favorite sports or TV shows. Touch tunes juke box, video gaming, dart board, pool table and some of the best comfort food around. Everyone is welcome!

This place is great! Very friendly owners. Food is yummy...try the oozy burger. Always a great time.

1 word! Oozie burger! A 1/2 pound, hand made burger with 2 kinds of cheese inside. Very delicious. Very fulfilling if you're hungry. Also try the meatloaf sandwich with BBQ sauce on it. Your choice of regular or seasoned fries will make it extra special. Oh! And it not bad on price considering other bars.

Friendly, well priced food and beer (also wonderful homemade sangria). Their veggie burger is good too. They have a "little library" and if you're lucky you'll get to see their cute dogs.
