Apres Wine Bar & Bistro

Wow, this place is amazing! We got the charcuterie board, which was excellent and beautifully prepared. I ordered merlot, which was great, and my boyfriend ordered the old fashioned, which was awesome... They smoke pecans while preparing the old fashioned, and it was so neat to watch. It is a little bit tiny inside, so if planning to go with a group I may recommend making reservations! The menu is great. There were so many different things I would love to order, which is kind of rare for me since I can be a little picky. Definitely a high quality, well executed menu. Will hopefully be back soon!

Apres is one of the best restaurants in Iowa City. It's in a cute neighborhood and the intimate setting makes for a really nice experience. The food can be a little inconsistent, but the chef does a really nice job with many dishes. The drinks are a little overwrought but it also makes them pretty special. Great place for a date night.

The Brussel sprouts were phenomenal. In my opinion, it is by far the best option in the Peninsula Neighborhood.
