Argosy Book Store

Rare books among rare prints with the best funky old book smells. This place is wonderful if you're trying to find that one off copy of a first edition illustrated copy of whatever you're looking for. There are many fine old posters and pictures from books that are for sale for framing. You could spend two days in here.

What a beautiful picturesque book store tucked away in the heart of New York! In desperate need of a new book, I wandered into this store and spent the better part of 2 hours just browsing their selection to try and decide what my next read should be. There is definitely no shortage of options, and one could easily spend one's entire afternoon perusing the excellent selection of all the genres they offer.

Very cool eclectic bookstore covering wealth of topics. Out of print books and immense volume of paper - advertising, posters, maps, prints, postcards, etc. Significant collection of autographed material also. Mainstream out of print titles in basement level. Paper on 2. Restroom for patrons on 3. Maneuvering levels requires manually operated elevator except for basement
