I've recently was that the emergency room at Jefferson Northeast and admitted. The ER process leaves much to be desired but they care I have received there not once but twice has been exceptional. I am a retired nurse so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to outstanding nursing care. People are very quick to complain but not to give a compliment when it is warranted. Despite a disorganized ER the hospital and staff is second to none. My compliments to all the staff there. We say they are heroes but we do not treat them as such. Signed Linda George RN
You know it really hurts when you see a family member in pain, you ask the staff if there’s anything that can be done and you get subpar treatment. I know it’s a hospital and it’s always busy especially where this one is located. However don’t act or treat the patients like they’re disturbing you. You chose this career. It’s not like you can just raise your hand and be in the nursing industry. At least act like you care, or help make people believe something. But when you’re cold, short and rude. It’s appalling, remember this the “the toes you step on today may be attached to the person holding your cards tomorrow”. To put it nicely
Go elsewhere worst hospital in the area! I've had family in and out of here for years and they managed to send them back out worse than how they arrived. Both my grandmother and great aunt had got bedsores while here and my aunts are so bad they are down to her BONE!!!! My sister had surgeries that left her permanently scarred and needing corrective surgery to fix their mistakes!!!!! Absolutely inexcusable.
Wow. I don’t go too often to hospitals and this was the worst experience. Don’t come here if you really have an emergency. The waiting time here is between 10-12 hours.
This is the worse hospital in the world. We came in the ambulance since 6pm and it now 11:53pm but we are still waiting. There are empty rooms in the ER but the nurses are just standing there and watching patients and doing nothing.
SHOULD BE A 0 STARS OPTION 3 HOURS WAITING AND STILL HAD 6 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME WHILE IN EXTREME CONSTANT PAIN IN MY THROAT HOSPITALS SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO HIRE PEOPLE WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES MULTIPLE OLD PEOPLE IN WHEEL CHAIRS FOR 4 HOURS JUST TO GET A CAB RIDE HOME THESE PEOPLE MAKE 10s OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND CANT GIVE A DOLLAR TO SOMEONE IN NEED FOR GUM FOR RELIVE DO NOT GO UNLESS U WANNA SIT IN THE COLD AND LEAVE AND NEVER BE SEEN. NEVER AGAIN. SECURITY CURSING AT CUSTOMERS JUST A DISGRACE TO THE MEDICAL FIELD WORSE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD
My Dad was driven to this hospital via ambulance due to stroke symptoms. He was seen quickly and put into a room. The nurses and doctors admitted him so they could run tests. They monitored him very closely and found his blood pressure was high and gave him medicine. He had a MRI and ultrasound done the next day. They were able to confirm he had a mini stroke, and found a small aneurysm behind his right eye. They were very quick to see him, treat him, run tests, and find what was wrong! I'm grateful to the team of nurses and doctors who took care of him. One negative experience: This hospital isn't in the best neighborhood. There was a convict in the first room with my Dad. He ended up getting violent not with my Dad, and the police had to come. The police threw my Dad in the bathroom to protect him because they had to fight the criminal. My Dad was put into a private room after that, for which I am grateful! Just be careful if you NEED to come here because the area is rough.
My family has used the hospital multiple times. This last time my moms experience was horrible!!! The hospital quarantined her for a week claiming she had BED BUGS!!!!! Said they were crawling all over her. That was a week after she was admitted and had visitors, including a bath and bed changes. To top it off threw her belongings away that she had with her. I believe someone was in her pocketbook too. Over medicated her on Xanax after she told them she takes half of the lowest dose. She couldn’t walk or talk! Glad she’s out of there never again!!
Worse hospital ever. I've been here since 11pm it is now almost 5am they haven't called anyone to the back. The nurse was nice enough to give the waiting room blankets. But this is ridiculous. The nurse came out and told us the upstairs is completely full. There are empty beds in the ER and the nurses are standing around the nurses station just laughing and giggling.
Went in after having extreme back and abdominal pain & throwing up so bad I was peeing myself. Waited at jeans for 4 hours to be seen came here and I was back in less than 30 mins. Staff were super friendly and actually cared about my well being. Definitely would recommend.
