There are not words in the English language to describe how upset I am at the experience I had yesterday at this AutoZone. I went in for a simple battery replacement. The associate that was installing the battery dropped the battery hold down and bolt and lost it. He told me that it's probably fine. I told him to look for it and he looked for a few minutes and then gave up. He said that he felt bad and tried to give me a couple dollars to go on my way. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, Shelby, did not even look at the car after asking her to and said that she can order the part and that it would not be in until tomorrow. Again not looking at the car she said I was ok to drive. I called the O'Reillys down the street and they told me that it is very dangerous to drive without the battery being held in place and definitely do not travel at high speeds. I was able to get over there and they looked at the battery and it was dangerously loose. Unfortunately they did not have the part I needed. I called AutoZone back and asked Shelby if there was any store in the area to get the part from. I was put on hold for 10-15 minutes and she said that she cancelled the part and that the location in Tigard has it. I did not tell her to cancel it just to check and asked her not to cancel it. She said that she could not re-order it after cancelling it and that the Tigard store has it on hold for me. It took me over an hour to take backstreets to get to the store she told me to go to. When I got there they didn't have the bolt only the battery hold down. I was told I would need to go the dealership or a mechanic. I called Shelby back and asked if I could speak to her manager and she said that she was the only one I could speak to and that she had nothing else to say. This morning I took PTO to drive over to the dealership again taking backstreets to get this in. All of this was from a simple battery replacement. Now I understand accidents do happen however AutoZone should not have told me that I was ok to drive and they should not have told me that the store in Tigard could fix it when they couldn't. I would like to be contacted by corporate if you are seeing this.
The manager, Christian, is amazing- he helped me troubleshoot my headlight fiasco out in the parking lot and saved me probably $500 by not having to take my car to the dealership. He was kind, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I’m so impressed with this location.
I'm so disappointed about my experience at this autozone at the corner of Cully and Prescott in Portland, Or. There were about 6 employees in the store two of which appeared to be managers yet we had to wait for over 10 minutes for any help because everyone other than Katlin and a gentleman helping someone in the parking lot were hiding in the back. One of the managers walked past us and another waiting customer just to go in back until Kaitlin had to get him for his approval code we were already waiting on. Katlin was multi tasking a phone, helping us and another customer while the managers did nothing and she was noticeably distressed. Your managers should be leading by example and jumping at the chance to help any and all customers possible. If it were me running that location I would be having a coaching session with every employee other than Katlin who would be getting a raise and possibly a promotion. It'll be a while before I come back and may never revisit said location.
Came into get a new battery as my old one was stolen. Did not have the old battery because it was stolen. They had to charge me $22.00 because I did not have the old battery. However, the women helping me talked to the manager and got me a 10% discount which I really appreciated. I do all my shop at this autzone store and have always had great service. Top notch!
Great location! They did not have the battery that I wanted in stock so they offered the next tier up for the same price!!! I was extremely happy, highly recommend
The most consistently inconsistent staff, it can be frustrating to have to wait for the one employee out of half a dozen to answer a question, or perform an advertised task. Staff could use with more training or higher expectations, telling someone that a service is provided, only for half an hour later to be told it doesn’t exist. I have been shopping here consistently since 10/23 when I moved here, and I accepted a lot of things and had patience because the staff said they were new. 6 months later now the same staff members are making the same excuse. A old woman staff member was so unprofessional and showed very little work ethic, it became a point of discomfort among those of us still waiting to be served. Staff does not seem to respect their store or themselves, or are not being motivated or encouraged by the management, who may I add sat back behind the parts and spoke so loudly about personal conversations and customers in the store that i eventually asked for the items I came with, and left with out making a purchase or service request. I will not come here again, and if you have a spot you like going, don’t waste your time by trying this one. I will not add photos or use the names of staff, that feels like crossing a line, but hopefully this keeps others from wasting time and money.
Worst service ever. 5 employees working but was ignored for 20 minutes. Not a word was said to a single customer. What a joke. Dropped my stuff on the floor and walked out.
We came in looking for bungee cords or straps to tie down our trunk so we could transport a lawnmower. Not only did Christian give us a great recommendation sturdy straps with no upsale or pressure, he actually came out and helped us install them after seeing us struggle in the parking lot. He really went above and beyond, even got on the ground! We had to wait when we came in only a couple of quick minutes and he greeted us with a friendly attitude and promptly returned to help us. All in all, stellar service.
They are doesn’t care about that customers I have Waiting for a while
