Aviation High School

Want to get into a great college or university go to another high school. Only come here if you want to become an Aircraft Mechanic. NOT A PILOT. Most teachers are nice. I graduated recently. Freshmens usually have 8 periods of classes everyday, sophomores 9, juniors 10 and seniors 8-10. Juniors are in school the longest from 8:11AM to 4:15PM. Strict attendance and grading policy for shop classes. Students get into the "Shop is life" mood, where they focus more on their shop classes than their academic classes. By Senior Year, a good number of students are no longer eligible to take the 3 exams necessary to get their FAA Aircraft Mechanic license because they had racked up many abscences (even for medical reasons) or they failed a test in any shop class and they didn't make it up on a Saturday. Yes, the FAA is tightening its grip over the school. So only come if you have the desire and dedication to get your Aircraft Mechanic license.

Individuals complaining about the school small issues and not taking into account they are getting a A&P license for free!!! Hahahaha Saving that kind of money, buy your own tools... or go to another school and pay 30k plus!!! Great school and gives you the skills to live in the real world...

This school does not teach you how to fly planes don't make the same mistake thinking it's flight school

This was my first High School back in 1988 as a freshman. Good memories with friends. Not so good academically though...
