If your down in life, If your not sure what your goals are, Take a look at the future of Aviation Technology. I was so low in luck, After a nasty divorce in my early 20s I was left with nothing. I had nothing to lose, I joined and was motivated to achieve something in life. Looking back, I definitely made the right choice. Nothing good in life comes easy, If that was the case everyone would be happy, Don't let fear dictate future.

I graduated 1983, and I'm thankful that TSA prepare me. After graduation I work for Butler aviation in EWR, continental, American Trans air and now for 28 years Johnson & Jonhson. Our Director of maintenance is also a TSA graduate and a few mechanics.if you do what is required it's going to pay at the end.

GRASP THIS prospective A&P's! In 1978, I went here for about "10 minutes!" In 1978 they had NOTHING relative to modern aviation and FORGET commercial aviation. In the 21st century, I believe they are doing nothing but taking your money! ( I know someone currently enrolled)
After I left TSA, I headed to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for my A&P and F.C.C. licensing and MOST importantly qualifications to enter the world of PROFESSIONAL commercial aviation technology! I was hired straight out of E-RAU, because I WAS QUALIFIED, for an airline I stayed with for 32 straight years.
But, here's the REAL issue with schools like TSA. This is NOT the 1970's...or 1980's...and the airlines have consolidated and merged and so on and so forth. It WILL be hard enough for the student exiting ANY school for a good career, whether in commercial aviation or otherwise because of the every shirking ranks of employees. So, consider this. Do you think the well paying employers are gonna look at a TSA graduate or one from E-RAU, a university/trade school...who REALLY prepares a student to enter the world of aviation and ESPECIALLY commercial aviation?
But, if you just need your FAA A&P, TSA is as good as any. BUT, if you want and REQUIRE real world exposure, best take a hard look at what TSA REALLY offers and than take a look at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. It's about YOUR future and the futuristic requirements, like in 1979, are in the dreary walls of TSA!
