Century Air

Century air is more interested in the size of you wallet than teaching you to fly. I recommend you visit them and talk to their president Richard Greene, just leave your wallet in your car. Ask him about the other schools on the airport. You will get a expletive filled diatribe that makes Donald Trump look like a amateur. Then visit the other schools. You will have a much better experience. This unprofessional behavior extends to his flying where it is not uncommon for him to have verbal fights with other pilots on open frequencies and had the tower cancel his takeoff clearance as a result. I am so pleased with the training at Century Air. We gave flight lessons to my son as a gift and he really is enjoying the flight lessons. I feel that my son is in very safe hands as I reviewed flight schools in detail. Each phase of his flight training is monitored for safety and knowledge and he really likes his instructor. I would highly recommend Century Air to anyone that would like to learn to fly.

Century Air is a great flight school. After checking out a few other schools in the area I decided to check them out and never looked back. The facilities are excellent. The planes are very well maintained and always kept clean. It's one of the few flight schools that really care about your training and making sure you get a good understanding of the information. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are willing to go above and beyond to get you the proper training. Whether flying is just a hobby or if you are looking for a career in aviation this is definitely the place to go!!!

Professionalism Throughout. I received my private pilot license and all my ratings before 1980 and before Century Air was in existence. However, I have used them for all of my recurrent and biannual requirements. I am not the type of person that likes to take unnecessary risks. I put the safety of my family and friends before any and all other considerations and that is why I use Century Air. Capt Richard Greene is a devoted professional with little patience for those who are not. It is not hard to see why American Airlines employed him as senior pilot until age related retirement. I have spoken to the mechanics that service Century's aircraft fleet and they all have told me that Capt.Greene insists, and they have standing order, to perform all repairs and maintenance, not just required by law, but necessary for safe operation. Capt. Greene is the most devoted person to aviation that I have ever met. Capt Greene's philosophy is reflected in the curriculum and atmosphere of the flight school itself. I have seen many flight schools in the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania area and non to compare. Their walls are filled with letters from Century Air graduates who have gone on to corporate and commercial airline jobs.

It’s hard to believe that it has been over 28 years since I first met with Richard Greene to discuss my desire to pursue a career in aviation. The quality training and educational experience I received from Century Air all those years ago has allowed me to confidently rise to the level of Airline Captain. When I recently decided to pursue my life long dream of becoming an aircraft owner, I once again turned to Century Air. I am extremely impressed to see that Century Air is still a leader in the aviation training industry. I am once again grateful to Richard for providing the training, experience and education needed to allow me to confidently pilot my new aircraft in the general aviation environment. It’s humbling to know that with over 20,000 hours of flight time you are still teaching me things. If there is one primary thing you taught me over the years, it’s that you never stop learning! Training and currency is an ongoing process. In the future I will continue to turn to Century Air for all my general aviation training needs. Please feel free to use me as reference so I can recommend Century to anyone in need of quality flight training and an outstanding aviation educational experience.
