B Restaurants

Fantastic burgers but funny that they don't have a build your own option on the menu. Apps were pretty good, especially the not too hot stuffed jalapeños. Two at a the table ordered a garden salad and were disappointed as it was mostly iceberg lettuce at a cost way beyond its worth.

I've been to plan B before in Massachusetts so i was excited to take my boyfriend for his birthday here in Fairfield. I regretted it. We got the spicy chicken appetizer which was not spicy at all and looked like 4 chicken fries instead of fried chicken or whatever it was supposed to be. The meat was a thin and tasteless compared to the thick juicy patties we were expecting. Usually when you eat a delicious burger, sauce ends up dripping out, not here, it was more like half a tablespoon of sauce. Just upset because it was a special day and i had really gotten my boyfriend excited to have their amazing food, which WAS amazing at the other location, so I'm not sure what happened here but I would be weary to go back because it's not cheap either.

Handles allergies very well (nuts, soy, gluten, peanuts) as well as special orders or accommodations within reason depending on the current crowd. They also have a decent beer list and bar, and even though the menu is short you can mix and match so much that it is much bigger than it looks. Only downsides are the restaurants tend to be small so they get a crowd fast and they cook burgers for "pink" or "no pink" only.

The 1st time I went to Plan B was the one in Milford/Orange area, had a great time! But this time when I went there with my friend I had a totally different experience in this Fairfield location. The bar tender and the servers where just in a big rush to close their stations and talk among themselves, I know we went there late but still give us the attention, I waited 13m just to get the server to get our order, waited another 20 for our food witch was fine, after we were done I had asked for another drink and she forgot it 2x and after that I asked for the check and just for that was about 20m! As I was leaving I said thank you and good night and I didn’t even get a single good night from none of them just a “mhmm”.

Typically my food from here is decent quality. Nothing to write home about, but definitely something that satiates a starving palate. However the service on this particular evening was sup par. The host, Dennis, seemed preoccupied with doddling behind the counter and allowed my meal to sit behind him for two minutes after the order came out (pick up); this was not a busy night, it almost seemed as if he was ignoring me. And the response was completely “meh”. The burger I ordered was cooked as requested, but the burger my girlfriend received was medium, not well done (as she ordered). The fries were stale, the Parmesan fries were tossed in the container onto the burger, no love to the meal. I called to complain and it was only then the host’s attitude changed, almost like forced remorse. I’m completely dissatisfied with my service this evening and I will not be returning to he Fairfield location for food. Edit: I post a separate picture reflecting the low quality of my meal and it was removed. I’m guessing this blunder is a stain on their reputation...just do better next time Plan B.
