Babcock Preserve

Great moderate trails for running, smallish but you can still find 3-4 unique non overlapping miles. Heavily shaded so good for summer runs. If you don’t like dogs though, then run towards the back for mileage, the dogs are generally closer to the parking area.

This place is literally a receptacle for dog poop. People do not pick up after their dogs or if they do just leave the poop in bags hanging off of trees (come on people). Also have seen dog walkers with packs of dogs (7) off leash. Really need to enforce the law here to preserve this little park. Has unfortunately gone to the dogs and their irresponsible, entitled owners.

I'd call it a 3.5, the trails need to be marked better, especially at the intersections. Great for dogs, though.

Great little hiking area with nice primary and secondary growth, streams, small lakes and swamps, old ruins, marked and unmarked trails. Wilderness in the middle of suburbia.

A lovely place to take a walk or a fast hike through the woods. It is great, secluded and always very private. Not many people seem to know abut it. I give it and the Town of Greenwich 5 stars .
